      I stayed at this hotel last weekend, we were disgusted with the room as soon as we entered musky smell hit us, carpets And bath badly stained with no shower, badly run down more like a hostel AVOID at all costs I like to travel a lot and never experienced a hotel like this

      Arrived for a long weekend with colleagues. The room was dated and needed a good clean. When entering the bathroom there was a smell of "eggs" and the floor had toilet paper and hair on it along with some sort of insects. The walk in shower floor was disgusting and had to wear socks whilst having a shower. Dont expect staff to assist you when the FIRE ALARM goes off as they keep serving at the bar and no staff are at assembly points so you dont know what's going on. It was utterly shocking as the fire alarm was being over ridden by staff, they hadn't a clue what to do... The breakfast choice is ok if you want to stand for up to 20minutes in a queue to then discover half the contents need refilling at the only one serving place for hot breakfast if you want to call it "hot".... like warm or cold more like. You will also have to look for a clean plate before plating your breakfast. I WILL DEFINITELY NOT BE BACK TO THIS DISGUSTING HOTEL.

    • Two Visits to the Bar

      I called into the bar on two occasions whilst visiting Blackpool. The service on both occasions was dire to say the very least. The bar was understaffed and the staff there could do with a great deal of training in both customer relations and use of tills! On a more positive side the bar area is well appointed. I also sat next to another customer who had been waiting over an hour for their bar snack and in the end demanded their money back. Management need to action some urgent changes in my opinion otherwise this very pleasant environment will sadly be very underused if the present regime is allowed to continue.

    • Weekend in blackpool

      Arrived Friday to discover we had to pay for carpark, but we understood why. No information on this when booking through though. Staff at hotel friendly and helpful and professional, mostly. We were given a family room so we had a larger room, only to find the two child beds were made up, so not much extra room for us. Checked things and found holes in the ceiling, no milk or coffee for complimentary drink making, no fridge, the lamp on the dressing table - we couldnt see how to switch it on and one of the bedside lamps had no bulb. The night of Friday, the noise of the wind sounded very loud. We discovered one of the windows wouldnt close properly. In the morning we found water on the window sill where rain came in. On return to room on Saturday we found the room had not been serviced. Saturday night 1am the fire alarm went off. False alarm. The breakfast Saturday morning was good and bed was comfy. My husband and I were glad to get home. The hotel needs decorating in lots of areas.

      Where to start? When I book a hotel I am looking for a good experience not just a bed for the night. At 200 per night it was a poor experience. The bar service is so slow and unfriendly where good customer service is unknown.There was one bar person and he had to contend with a large wedding party plus all other guests. No wonder he was unhappy. Next the dinner. A carvery like no other carvery. Very limited choice of beef or turkey plus a curry or fish. Smallest joints I have seen, I do mean smaller than you would carve at home. the carver used what looked like a bread knife to cut the overdone burnt piece of meat. He also used the same knife for whatever your choice was and wiped it on a towel between cuts. Ugh!! No yorkies, no peas and other vegetables were luke warm. No cranberry sauce for the turkey. This is painful to write. On to the desserts, simpler to say do not bother. We did complain and we did receive an apology and a partial refund on the food. However this hotel experience was now tainted. Then to crown it all after receiving the refund I got stuck in the lift as it stopped working. Will we return? Not a chance. By the way we were not the only complainants.
