    • Rude owner. Distasteful garden room. Shower worked well. Comfy bed. Horrid furnishings and decor.

Love Weymouth. This guest house in my opinion is the worst place i have ever stayed. The en-suite was full of mould. Disgusting old bottles of previous guests toiletries left in the shower. Horrid hard beige towels. Left wringing wet for use again. Horrid coloured bedding. Garden area for sitting filthy had never been swept since winter Garden over grown like a jungle. Dangerous horrid split green felt covering part of decking. Got told by owner to be quiet whilst sat on decking at 9.40 in the eve. I am 68. My husband is 71. Disabled and has lost his speech through a stroke. So i guess it was me disturbing guests above ridiculous. Not able to check in till 5.30. So decided to go for dinner. At 7. My phone was ringing to ask where we were. Awful. Did not book b/fast. I could not have eaten there. Not clean enough. On departure. At 11 o clock. Tap at the door to say next guests are waiting. And stood at our door with guests ready to use the room as they had been travelling all night. We left that dump and continued on to another hotel. At 11.40. I was drinking coffee i had waited for a taxi travelled to the other end of Weymouth checked in to the beautiful Rex. And that guy hassled us at 11. Saying new guests were there when the hell was that room gonna get spritzed. In the three days we were there the floors never got touched. We r very tidy. But i left a trap. And it remained on that floor where i had put it the whole time. Ooh the kettle had to be filled with a cup. Way to big for filling at the sink. All in all terrible. The weather was fantastic so out till late each day. Then back to sit in the so called filthy patio area. On arrival i made the mistake of thinking i had booked 4 nights. This guy never confirmed any thing with me so on the day i left I actually thought i was leaving. To continue some where else. So glad we were ready at 11. Anyhow. There is no staff just the guy and his partner. Only ever saw the partner occasionally clearing tables.

    • Fantastic base for a visit to Weymouth.

I rang direct to book as this was a birthday present for our 90 year old Mum and I wanted to check they had suitable facilities on the ground floor for her. They did. Her room was lovely. Big and bright with rails in the bathroom, a comfy bed and a lovely garden patio. Our room on the first floor was sufficient, basic, clean if a little dated. The breakfast was good, lots of choice and lovely service, nothing was too much trouble. There's free WIFI and parking for 4 cars. Leave the car outside and it's a 10 min slow stroll to the seafront, shops and restaurants. Despite the changeable weather we had a wonderful break in Weymouth.

We stayed here for 2 nights. Good price and its possible to walk into town or to the Harbour. Only 5 minutes from the beach. We had a room on the second floor overlooking the rooftops and could see a tiny bit of sea view! Had a shower en suite which was fine and Mike gave us a good welcome. We didnt have the breakfast this visit but will if we come back. We are in Weymouth quite regularly and would happily stay here again.
