    • One of my favorite places

Puerto Rico is often over looked by west coasters for closer spots like Hawaii and Mexico. On like Hawaii the people are friendly in the surf, the sea food excellent and the prices more affordable. You can also get the Spanish and Mexico vibe without the hassle of passports, currency and health issues without the violence of Mexico. In addition it can be more affordable as well. The island offers surf, rain forests, deserts, mangroves and flat crystal clear waters with all the options for sports as well as entertainment any other destination offers.

Jobos Beach is good for eating at restaurants in the area. The beach is mostly closed but the view from the restaurants is outstanding. The food is varied and of good quality. Parking is an issue unless you pay. It is still a good place to visit.

    • My review as a law enforcement officer.

Why do I express the fact that I am a law enforcement officer? Because I don't go to Jobos Beach on my personal time but I go there on a weekly basis and will tell you my experience from my point of view. 1. The #1 negative thing is parking space. Now that the government took all parking area to put a building, people are forced to park on the side of the road. 2. I have assisted many people that have had their car windows broken to steal their property. 3. You won't find a lot of shade. So you need to get there early to get the few trees available. 4. The beach is beautiful and the rocks provide very nice picture opportunities. 5. There are restaurants very near and you can walk to them. 6. Be very careful with the currents and be humble. If a local tells you to be careful in an area, pay attention to them because they know that beach very well. I don't go there because I don't like crowded beaches, but if you don't mind the crowds and stupid music you will have a good time there Did I mention the surfing? Great surfing for kids. Surfing classes.

This beach offers a variety of experiences. There is a boardwalk or Pasea Lineal, that goes on for miles and covers Jobos, Pozo de Jacinto, and many other areas.

Nice beach, not too crowded and had many options for lunch or a cool beverage right on the beach. A little rocky in some areas but perfect for me and my guy. We enjoyed a great lunch and mojito at Umas.
