We needed to stay overnight in Newcastle and chose this B&B as a treat. I thought for $152 we'd have a little taste of the olde world - we got that - dust, rusty wire dry cleaner's hangers in the wardrobe, a shower over a large bath with no screen and fresh milk put into a bar fridge which wasn't even turned on. Thankfully we only spent a few hours there (to sleep), my wife couldn't even get into the shower as there were no rails for support. On the plus side, the hosts were really pleasant and the cooked breakfast was excellent. There is on-street parking and it's a quiet area. Would we stay again? No, sorry, not worth the cost.

This is a wonderful home with great hosts! Parking's available in the suburban street outside but they cleared the carport for me so the car was undercover. The location is quiet and just a block and half walk to the Bennett Hotel for drinks and dinner. The breakfast was great - freshly cut fruit salad with yoghurt and then a great omelette. I was really impressed and intend to return next time I get near the Central Coast.

This B&B is a beautifully converted period home with a delightful old world interior. The hosts were so friendly and welcoming with really helpful advice on what a newcomer can see and do in Newcastle. The location is well served by buses into central Newcastle and trains to get you to and from Sydney. A delightful change from yet another boring hotel stay!

Ok, as it says this is a heritage b&b in Hamilton. The room was dated, but did have TV and WiFi. The hosts were lovely and provided a great breakfast, which you order the night before. There is no off road parking. But there are plenty of spaces on the street. Beaumont Street is not far away, lots of places to visit for an evening meal.

RACQ booked our stay as we needed dog friendly accommodation. We arrived to find a quaint little Heritage house. Lovely front and rear gardens. Showed us the kitchen, verandah and our room. Room looks great in photos, bathroom looks freshly renovated, bedroom very tired and dusty. Carpets were filthy and smelled of dog urine. Windows were sealed shut so couldn't let fresh air into the room. The bed is an old wire base. It was the worst night sleep either of us had had in a long time. Every time someone rolled over the bed "twanged". Can't comment on the breakfast, as we were so angry and in a hurry to get out into the fresh air. Would I be back - NO WAY. Would I recommend it - NO WAY.
