    • Interesting building

This hotel is located in a nice building not far from Helsinki centre. We had a room in the newly renovated part of the hotel. For us it was a drawback that it had glass doors to the bathroom. Breakfast was good. The staff at the front desk was very friendly and helpful.

    • Special care was given to sick travellers

We were on a Baltic tour to be followed by Russian River Cruise. One of our group bought influenza on board and my husband and I were struck down and ended up in hospital in Helsinki and didn't maker Russia at all. During this time the staff and particularly the manager were wonderful. They looked after our bags whilst we were in hospital. They found us a room as soon as my husband was released. Nothing was too much trouble, the care we had was above and beyond. I would recommend this hotel and particularly their wonderful staff to al.l

I've stayed at this hotel with my family 2 times. The only real big positive is the location. The first time in winter there was an old banana in my wardrobe in the room and we got a fine for parking the car in the hotel yard for 5 minutes when we were checking-in and actually paying for the parking, otherwise where we are supposed to leave the car while checking-in and paying for parking? No signs, no explanation anywhere. That was fixed by the Reception and that time I thought ok, it happens. The second time we stayed 4-5 September and paid for bigger rooms (1 night cost me 140 Euro for 1 person). I was upset to find a dirty napkin behind the chair in my room, but then again thought ok, nothing major. The last thing which actually made me very angry was the attitude of the Reception. When we checked in we immediately paid for the parking and for our stay. Next day when leaving we found again a fine for the unpaid parking on our car window. I went to the Reception and was told that THEY made a mistake and put our car license plate wrong - '0' in the system instead of 'O', then I was handed back the fine (!) which I gave back again and said that it's not our mistake, we paid for the parking and wrote down our car license plate number right. The Receptionist was very unfriendly still insisting and telling me that in Finland THEY have a different system and that I HAD TO clarify that it was 'O' and not '0'?! I'm a tourist and I don't live in Finland, so I have no idea what kind of system you have. If you are not sure what is it, just ask! If you made a mistake (it happens), just say sorry and fix it fast! This kind of behaviour was unacceptable. In the end, it was fixed (well, I hope so!) but we will never come back to this hotel. I don't recommend it.

    • Average hotel in good location

      Reviewed 07 September 2019

Hotel prices in Helsinki seem to be very expensive and we picked this one because it seemed like a good standard, good location and reasonable price. The hotel is in a good location about a 10 - 15 minute walk from central station and surrounded by restaurants and bars. The rooms and hotel itself are average, they try to go for a design vibe but it feels like it could do with some renovation now. Breakfast was ok but not great, it seemed better in all the other hotels we have stayed in in this part of the world where they are usually very good.

    • Near city centre

Near to city centre, tough to take luggage to the room because of the setup, breakfast at 7 am. Room given to me was allocated to someone else, and I had to come back with all my luggage again to reception,
