    • Beautiful room

We stayed overnight here a few years ago and the room was very noisy. We stayed here 2 nights ago and at first were worried as we were in the same room. We needn't have worried it has had a major make over and was beautiful and comfortable. And quiet! ( I think I would still ask for a room not overlooking the crossroads though). Lovely staff also. Thank you

    • Staff service ruined a 5 star stay

As a guest to the hotel, this place seriously needs a bellboy to assist customers with large items/bags up the stairs. We got no help whatsoever, nor did the cyclists who stayed as well and had to carry their bikes up/down a tiny spiral staircase. I really felt for them. As I was leaving with my large suitcase and bags, staff came through a door and didn't even bother to hold it open for me! Let alone offer to assist with getting everything down those stupid stairs. Receptionist gave vague car parking directions which resulted in us having to go back and move the car (note to others, long term stay is at the back of the lot behind the Sainsbury's and parking meter only takes coins without giving change). Lovely rooms and location, but staff helpfulness was very poor. WiFi is spotty and constantly disconnects. Breakfast was cheap.

My family - 10 of us - were going to a family wedding in Tisbury. We stayed at the Kings Head and were very happy with the hotel. The staff were very friendly, the rooms very clean and large. My 2 sons had family rooms which were very roomy - in some hotels the family rooms can be tiny. Myself and my husband had a double room which was excellent. The bar in the pub downstairs was open till 1 am on Friday and Saturday and we heard no noise at all. Can recommend the hotel as its very central for visiting the lovely city of Salisbury.

    • An Excellent Stay at the Kings Head

We stayed one night at the Kings Head Inn in Salisbury. The room was very nice with an interesting configuration. Upon entering the room there is a hallway with the bathroom and shower on the right. You then go through a door into the bedroom. This room is a good size and has a queen size bed which was comfortable. There is air conditioning which kept the room cool during the recent warm weather. The room was very reasonably priced. There was an iron and ironing board in the closet. Wifi was decent. The pub downstairs offered good choices of food and beverages that were very reasonably priced. The train station is about 10 minutes walk from the hotel. This is an excellent choice of accommodation in Salisbury.

This is a budget hotel, but rooms are clean, staff are very nice. Be warned if you have a room at the front you will probably not sleep great, there is a damaged manhole cover in the road so you get BANG BANG everytime a vehicle goes over it, although I dont blame this on the hotel im surprised nobody has asked the council to repair as it very annoying being woke at 5am
