    • Wonderful kind and caring staff at a difficult time

      Reviewed 20 March 2020

We checked into the Four Seasons Doha just as coronavirus restrictions were beginning to be put in place. It was a confusing and difficult time for all. In spite of the circumstances, the staff consistently went above and beyond in every possible way to make our stay as comfortable and enjoyable as possible, including General Manager Jeff Rednour. Recent renovations have resulted in beautifully and tastefully decorated rooms. The beachfront location adjacent to the corniche allowed us to take long walks in the parks along the waterfront as everything else was shut down. We look forward to a return visit when the world returns to normal.

Recomended 5 star hotel

    • Big renovation but falls short

      Reviewed 10 March 2020

This hotel recently underwent a 12 month renovation, unfortunately they have focused on renovating just certain areas and some parts remain firmly in the 1990s. General maintenance is lacking, where most hotels would be constantly painting, repairing or replacing items that are broken, the FS doha prefers to leave it the way it is - let it become part of the furniture and perhaps they are so used to seeing it that way they dont notice anymore. On driving into the hotel some dead palm trees line in front of a mosaic tiled fountain that badly needs to be deep cleaned or retiled. This is the first impression as you drive into the hotel, it should be pristine. It just looks dirty. The lobby area is nice, a but more traditional and not exactly wow but it does the job and the sea view in the back is very nice. As you walk downstairs there is a coffee area, again its ok nothing wrong with it but could they not have been a bit more creative? they have salmon pink & brown furniture outside which someone must have found half price as it doesnt blend in with any of the existing decor. The restaurant and bar Elements has been done well, the outside courtyard adjoining it though does lack character and is pretty much one colour palate: grey, white and some more grey. No nice lighting, flowers, plants etc. The bathrooms havent been remodelled either and there is a really dirty carpet outside this area. The bathroom doors must be be 50 years old and they have weird fabric covered walls in here too. The spa is nice but alot of the walls in the facility areas have paint peeling off, discoloured walls, rust, stains etc. The same with the pool bathrooms - just replace the doors that are full of rust. The pool restaurant food is very average or what I ate at least, greek salad was so uninspiring, could get better in the supermarket. I think its down to the fact as the kitchen is tiny down there, same with the pier brunch all the food is taken down from the main hotel. It would be better if they remodelled that area installing a proper kitchen, theres so much wasted space there. And change up the menu using more organic and healthy produce/ options. The gym cafe food is much better. The staff are all great though and definitely four seasons from that respect. The hotel design however is not and they should hire someone to finish the interiors and someone else to get on top of the maintenance snags as the 5 star hotel competition in Doha is better than this.

    • Yacht club pier party

We wanted an escape from the usual brunches in Doha and when we seen the advertisement on Facebook regarding the pier party, we were curious. We booked almost 2 weeks in advance. There was a set menu with some bites which were very tasty and extremely well presented. One of our guests had that Gluten free issue and the Chef insured that she was catered for, she was impressed. Our waiter Josh was very prompt with the drinks. The setting was very comfortable and we had a great day, this little brunch didnt disappoint and you cant complain about the price. The DJ played smooth groves in the background, a lovely atmosphere. Well done. The only thing I didnt like was the long hike to the bathroom. We could come back for sure.

Amazing experience! Yesterday I had breakfast gathering with my ladies friends in this poolside restaurant. It has nice view and delicious foods. I ordered BBQ Beef Pulled Brisket. It was really good! We had so much fun and really impressed with the friendly staffs especially this lovely lady Ms. Jerrica who assisted us from the beginning of our reservation. Two thumbs up for her and her team! Also she helped me when I accidentally left my belongings in the hotel area. Definitely will come back here next time.
