    • Pleasurable, but you must insist on what you want

      Overall we had a fabulous time. The beach is stunning and worth the visit. I highly recommend Jessica our beach waitress. Her knowledge of food and activities here are what customer service at a luxury resort should be. The food was always delicious and we were able to customize to our hearts desire. The gym had all the equipment and views Id expect. The baths and massages were great and the prices fair. I dinged the place for a few items: We stayed a full week and paid for an ocean view room. The lady who checked us in sized us up and then placed us in their Versailles tower. Otherwise known as where their conference center is and about a mile away from the lobby, pool, spa, gym. The ocean front room here meant wed see the roof of the conference center before any beach. We complained instantly and were first told to check in the next day, the next day we were told to check in after 11 am (despite the mass influx of people checking in at that time). It was only when we insisted we were going elsewhere did they finally accommodate us into a closer tower. Whats strange is on day 4 there was actually a conference but the people attending it were staying at our tower vs the conference tower. Everything was far more expensive than should be. Coffee was $8, burgers $25, water $10. Beach umbrellas....Use them. Especially if the hotel next to you is. Dont wait for the day beds to be sold out before allowing them to be used(!!!). Finally, whats up with everything closing at 6:30? I want to go night swimming at the pool. I want to watch the sunset across the ocean. I dont want to be corralled to eat at your pricey restaurants because nothing else is available

      Yes, this hotel has a gorgeous pool area, that's about all I can say unfortunately. My company sent its sales staff here on my recommendation due to being "the best in Miami". Not knowing that a drink at the hotel bar was over $20 and a regular cup of coffee in a paper cup was over $5. I'm sorry, but there is no need for pricing like that in Florida. Very disappointed in my room which had 2 headboards that were damaged and ripped with holes. What I did like...: There was a FREE trolley (not offered by the hotel) but the city, taking you to the South beach area. This way we were able to get away from this OVERLY EXPENSIVE hotel and get normally priced food and snacks. The ladies in the clothing shop in the lobby were snobbish and mean. I personally would never stay here again with so many other options just as nice closer to drug stores, restaurants and shops. Sorry Fountainbleau.. its good in "name" but nothing more. :(

      our first time in this hotel and enjoy every minute of it. beach area nice clean. the beach service for drinks and food was great ! The night life in the hotel is awesome, very young group in the evening . The music is alway loud and nice lobby partying area ! What I like is after you check out you can continue to use the hotel services. having a refreshing room for the customer is great ! The coffee shop is pricy ! 4 coffee and pastry over $30.

      After a busy 7 days in Orlando we were very much looking forward to some much needed respite in the infamous Fontainebleau. Unfortunately, our experience was average to poor from the offset. We were greeted by a rather unenthusiastic receptionist who couldnt even muster up a smile when checking us in. We then entered our room to find that the A/C wasnt working and had no bath as advertised. When we returned to reception we were faced with another member of staff who was as unenthusiastic as the first. She reassigned us a room in the Versailles tower a 5 minute walk away from our originally assigned room in Chateau. No offer was made to help us with our heavy suitcases all the way to our new room. Once settled into our new room we were disappointed that there were no tea/coffee facilities only extremely over priced water, liquor and snacks. We enjoyed our time around the pool area. Ample staff around taking food and drink orders. Our only qualm about the pool side would be that sometimes service was slow, such as waiting around for pool staff to bring over towels as busy having group discussions with other members of staff. Building appeared tired in places, lots of curtained off areas during stay, ?updating certain parts of hotel. Therefore, not quite the 5 star experience we were anticipating. During a future visit to Miami, we wouldnt stay at the Fontainebleau.

      Karl at the reception desk was amazing. He is the definition of great customer service. He made my stay and process comfortable I wouldnt have asked it to be any different. Smile, engages while he made the adjustments to our stay in a time efficiently matter. I would be coming back because of this amazing experience with him.
