    • Good town hotel

We arrived early, no problem at all, staff very pleasant and welcoming. Found the pub area quite dated but very clean. Got to our room which also very clean. Bathroom small but perfectly usable. After going out for the day we got back, our room as so hot and stuffy even though the windows were left open, we asked for a fan and within 2-3 minutes we were given one. The room was nice and dark during the night but as the hotel was situated in the town we had rather a lot of noise, not cars but street noise from people finishing nights off, that is nothing to do with the hotel. Breakfast was perfect, choice of full English or parts of, cereal, toast etc. But no fruit or yogurt. Coffee making facilities in the room, topped up daily if required. Overall a great stay in a town hotel. All staff A* would return.

    • Lovely Staff and location, shame about the room

This is a very mixed review. Firstly the hotel is easy to find, central location with extremely helpful staff. There is very limited parking but there are a number of car parks you can pay for in the area. I must admit I was really disappointed with the room. The room wasnt clean and there was an awful smell coming from the bathroom. They provided us with lovely clean, white bath towels however as soon as I put them over the towel rail in the bathroom they come away with black marks on as the towel rail wasnt clean. There were also hairs in the bathroom and shower which I had to clean away. Admittedly we arrived very late and left very early so I didnt have time to voice my concerns to the staff. It is such a shame as this could be a lovely hotel but we wouldnt book again.

Only stayed for one night but it clear this small hotel is well run. The staff were very helpful and welcoming. My single room was clean and comfortable. The cooked breakfast was freshly prepared and tasty. I would definitely recommend the Falcon Hotel for a short stay in Carmarthen.

Stayed here on a Saturday and Sunday night recently. The hotels website does mention the lmited parking amd that the hotel has a lot of stairs both of which we experienced. Our room was on the top floor and the street noise from local pubs was loud so we could not have the window open. Taxis also park outside the hotel and keep their engines running, not condusive to a quiet nights sleep. The room was very hot as there was no fan or aircon and the duvet was very heavy. We asked for a thinner duvet but they had non, we were given a sheet which was cooler on the second night. The hotel was clean and the staff helpful and friendly. We did not eat in on the Saturday night but found that on Sundays they stopped serving food at 3pm. Breakfast was served in a small dining room and the breakfast menu was comprehensive and served quickly.
