    • Complete dissapointment due to multiple service failures

      This is my 6th TripAdvisor review, and the first negative experience I am posting about - so I am not one who is quick to complain. However, I felt the strong need to warn others about the Fairfield Inn & Suites Palm Coast I-95. What a terrible stay I had on August 23rd! 1) When I went to use the fitness center, there was a sign on the door that it was closed for upgrading. That would have been fine if the information was shared in advance of arrival so I could have picked somewhere else to stay- but this fact was NOT communicated in advance at all. When I asked the front desk, they were aware the information about the fitness center being closed was not on the website nor disclosed at the time of the reservation. They did offer for me to use a gym in town about 3 miles away, but without a car this was a moot option for me. No offer to shuttle me there instead was made.(See photo of notice posted on fitness center door). 2) Sink was clogged and barely drained (see photo). Also one for the lights in the room was completely dead. I consider this a housekeeping failure for not reporting issues in the room to maintenance to be addressed. 3) Housekeeping attempted to enter my room around 9:40AM on day of checkout while I was getting dressed. Housekeeper told me I was already marked as having left. That was NOT the case. 4) At check-in, I was told breakfast lasted until 10AM. I know this is what I was told as I immediately set the alarm on my cell phone for 9:30 to give me 15 minutes to get ready and go downstairs to grab something quickly to eat. Of course, breakfast had ended at 9:30 (as per the posted sign) so I had nothing to eat. I travel multiple times per year, and my routine is to set my alarm on my phone after confirming dining hours with the front desk. This was not an error on my part, it was a desk clerk error that caused me to miss breakfast. 5) I stopped at the front desk at check-out to update my method of payment and request a printed folio. The clerk handed me my receipt without so much as a thank you for staying with us. Sure, this is nitpicking, but after all the other service failures, it speaks to the complete lack of guest focus at this property. To the hotel's credit, the room was clean and comfortable outside of the sink and light issues. Too bad the service level doesn't even come close to matching Marriott brand standards.

      My husband and I stayed at the Fairfield for over a week and had a great stay. The room was clean, breakfast had a nice variety, and the staff was exceptionally friendly. The front desk always super helpful and nice. Kalvin is awesome at breakfast, so friendly and works hard to meet all requests. Cant say enough good things about the people that work there. Would definitely recommend it and would stay there again ourselves.

      Our experience here was very good. We are travelling for the first time with our 7 month old puppy. When we left him in the room to pick up fast food, he panicked. Neighbors complained. We had only been gone 10 minutes or so and we were already on our way back when we received the phone call. We returned in the next 5 minutes and spoke to Brandon about the situation. Brandon was very professional, very kind and very understanding about this being the puppy's first trip, as well as very helpful and efficient about offering a solution. We rearranged the rest of our stay so that our dog was never alone in the room again and he was not a nuisance. (We are serious about being responsible about this. We left an expensive event ticket unused so he would not be alone). We do not want to inconvenience other guests or the staff, we just had not tried this before and didn't know how he would react. Brandon was completely understanding and never made us feel like we were irresponsible pet owners, regardless of the complaints he received during the 15 minutes we were out and away from our dog. He deserves every bit of praise I can offer.

      We stayed here for 2 nights for a Flag Football Tournament. The location was great, a short drive to the park. Plenty of food and drink options with a short drive or Uber ride. The rooms were very basic and small - not like some of the other Fairfield's we've stayed, was a flashback to my college dorm days. 4 walls, a basic table with small microwave. It was clean and comfortable. I can't say the staff was overly friendly, but the man working for the Breakfast was AMAZING !!

      Location was perfect for my needs. Right off of I-95. Nice area with restaurants nearby. Room was clean, linens and bed were really comfortable. Bathroom was really updated and nice. Shower was excellent. Doors vs. shower curtain and large with a huge seat in it. Customer service was excellent. Put me on a high floor and the room was really quiet. Will definitely stay here again. Stayed here for free with my Bonvoy points, so for the points that I spent I was very pleased with the quality.
