    • Bed Bugs !

I visited this hotel for business on 7/29. I noticed the bed was very itchy throughout the night and got up to switch beds. In the morning I woke up and noticed a very tiny bug on the bed, so I packed up and left as soon as I could. The next morning, I woke up and wasnt able to stop itching my legs. I was definitely bitten by bed bugs, and the welts grew to the size of quarters. I called the hotel Immediately to report this and was told a manager would call me back. That didnt happen so I called again and spoke to the assistant manager who apologized and offered to let me fill out an incident report. I laughed that she was offering to HELP me by letting me fill out a report. Completely unbelievable- dont ever stay at this hotel!

    • Another great Fairfield

After staying at a Fairfield in Holiday/Tarpon Springs the week before, I thought I would give the Valdosta Fairfield a try. Room, staff, breakfast, work out room, All great. My only recommendation is that the additional charges added to your bill (that will be deleted from your credit card if not used) be explained. I've been assured the charges will be deleted within 3 business days and I understand the purpose of it, but I was shocked when I saw the additional charges.

I reviewed this hotel back in December 2017 as a layover stop on the way to Disney. I wrote a favorable review then, and I wanted to update a couple years later. I saw a review that you couldnt get to this hotel at the exit from I-75 on which it is located. Im not sure why because I didnt find that to be the case. Its clean, comfortable and felt safe. The staff was very friendly. The breakfast was a nice hot breakfast for what you get at such price point hotels. My youngest daughter also enjoyed the pool. We will stay here again if we go to Valdosta. I recommend this hotel as a good place for s one night stay in Valdosta, whether its a stop over going to and from Florida or for a visit to Valdosta State University (which is why we stayed there this time).

    • Not the best location

You cannot get to this hotel if coming from the north on I-75 without exiting a couple miles up the interstate and then taking a connector street to Hill Ave. Yet the hotel sits within a stone's throw of the interstate. Poor site selection. All of the other normal hotels that compete with Marriott are up at the 1st exit. Area seemed a little seedy set back behind a truck parking lot. Rooms are sparsely furnished and could use some updates. Front desk was nice enough.

Stayed here on way north. Nice quiet facility. Overall good experience. Two negatives. Housekeeping needs to clean better. Head boards had not been dusted in forever. my wife wipes down all the hard surfaces with Clorox wipes and the wipes were filthy. Also Housekeeping employees smoking just outside entry doors in the morning not good!
