    • Disappointed in their service

We stayed at this hotel during a family trip to Niagara Falls. I am a Marriots rewards member and I usually stay at Marriot hotels while traveling. So, I have come to expect a certain level of service during my Marriot stays. Unfortunately, at this hotel, the service was so bad and not even close to Marriot standards. Hallways were littered with empty soda cans and the main entrance trash pins were overflowing. At breakfast, most of the food trays were empty and the staff was very unresponsive to our requests. I just hope that Marriott would try to address those issues.

Lots of parking, staff members where polite and welcoming. Room was large, clean and to a high standard. Some reviews seemed kinda bad but I honestly thought the hotel was really good. Takes about 15 minutes to walk to the falls saves paying $10 for parking at the falls. I would stay here again

Stayed here for 6 nights. Room was clean and comfortable. We were on the 2nd floor and faced the rear parking lot. The only "noise" we had was a couple of families - one with teenage boys and one with little ones who were loud while they were in the hall. The family with teens was in the room next to ours and we did not have any issues with sounds through the walls. We did not have our room cleaned every day (our choice) but housekeeper double checked to make sure we didn't need anything and provided extra towels as needed. Front desk staff was very friendly (especially Tyler) and breakfast was very good. Waffles, both scrambled or "omelet" style eggs, two types of sausage (one pork - one not) with the pork sausage alternated with canadian ham or bacon on a few of the days. They have several types of juices, oatmeal, cold cereals, milk, yogurt and pastries. There was a variety of coffees and hot water with several types of tea and hot chocolate. The coffee and hot water choices were available 24/7. Only had an issue with breakfast bar not being stocked on one morning but it was extremely busy and staff was doing their best. There is a Gray Line tours kiosk set up in the lobby and we took both the day and night tours. I decided on the tours after looking at costs for various attractions. Cost for us would have added up to close to the fare for the tour and you get personalized service without hassle (or parking issues). Personal choice for sure. It is approximately a mile to the US side of the falls and probably close to 2 miles to the canadian side but it was an easy walk and i am almost 70 and had no problems. If you are going to drive, you can park in the state parks for $10 a day and I believe you can come and go for one price all day. Problem is the parking lots are VERY busy. We didn't use the pool but it was clean and warm. We checked it out several times but there were so many other things to do, we just never went in the water. It is a small pool - I think the occupancy limit was 10? So if you are going for a pool - you probably wouldn't be happy. Exercise room was small but had several machines. Small "convenience" shop in lobby had snacks/drinks and miscellaneous items.

    • Nice lobby dirty bedding

The hotel lobby and common area is very nice and modern. However, the room that we are in, 204, the bathroom sink doesnt drain well. The comforter has what it looks like blood stain on it. Breakfast seating area is nice but the food offering is lacking. There is a long line to make waffle and then only a tray of egg and a tray of meat which ran out from time to time right next to it. Drink station is right across so everyone is crowding in the same tiny area. For the inflated Labor Day weekend price (close to $250 after taxes) that I am paying, I expect a little bit more. Yes, I am writing in present tense because I am still at the hotel at this moment so this is a live report!

It is very close to the falls and you can walk about half a mile. or you can drive. I park in the state park because I have an empire pass. Rooms are clean. The only problem is if you can late for breakfast, you have to wait for a long time. Be there earlier to save yourself a lot of trouble.
