    • A Modern Take On A Tea House

This teahouse is an exquisite example of how Canadians can showcase incredible spender. Nestled within a quaint and quiet neighborhood, we had a beautiful Canadian high tea with smoked fish, homemade scones and all sorts of delicious goodies. Plus the gardens are a wonderful touch of elegance with rare and exotic plants from around the world. We highly recommend this place to anyone looking to experience an elegant afternoon treat in the heart of Victoria.

    • Absolutely lovely afternoon

      Reviewed 20 August 2019

There were 4 in our party. One had high tea,2 have afternoon tea and 1 had the charcuterie board. The tea items were all freshly made and both savouries and sweets were delicious. The charcuterie board had a selection of meats, cheeses and even smoked fish. It was a very generous serving for the price. We all had leftovers to take home. The gift shop had some unique hand crafted items and the gardens are definitely worth a stroll around. A lot of effort went into designing the gardens around the existing lava and granite rock faces on the property. Very enjoyable.

Our visit was one of Sharon's "I've always wanted to do this" activities; and I must admit I was very unenthusiastic about participating in it. Boy, was I wrong in feeling that way. We were seated by the window overlooking the garden and from arrival until we finished our tea, it was one of the most relaxing and enjoyable experiences I have enjoyed in a long time. We both had "Afternoon Tea" and were each served our personal pot of very hot tea and more food than we could eat. Afterward, we walked through the garden which is much larger than it looks. Also a very enjoyable experience. I am very glad Sharon invited me to join her.

    • Delightful Gluten-free High Tea with Garden Views

      Reviewed 03 July 2019

This is such a surprisingly beautiful garden, tucked away west of downtown, with a beautiful love story to further your interest. I called ahead one day for high tea reservations and to make serving gluten-free. No problem and I had every type of dish my husband enjoyed, from egg salad, smoked salmon and cucumber sandwichs, two types of scones with homemade strawberry jam and three small desserts each, that included a crime brle. All was sooo yummy with choice of Silk Road local tea. One of the top three best High Teas I have ever had in over 40 places.
