      Great location, great friendly service . Staff was helpful. We were able to check in early to attend an afternoon wedding and check out late due to late flight. Would definitely stay here again. Price is very reasonable

      We are more than disappointed in being charged for tickets to the Matisse-Picasso exhibition when we assumed the tickets were free especially when we booked on the East Hotels website promoting the exhibition and which claimed free breakfast and tickets. After we booked we were told breakfast was not free but we were told the tickets were free. Upon returning to Sydney I discovered we were charged for tickets on two separate days when the tickets were given to us upon arrival. I telephoned the East Hotel and was informed by a woman, after she consulted a superior in the hotel, that the amount charged for the tickets would be refunded. I called the hotel today 13/3/20 (one week later after no refund was received) and was told the person who informed me the money was to be refunded was in error and the charge for tickets on two separate days when we received on the first day is correct and there is no refund. If anyone is confused with this imbroglio rest assured we are more than confused. From our experience we will not recommend this hotel to anyone.

      My wife and spent an enjoyable 3 nights recently. We have tried a number of different hotels across Canberra, but would rate East as the best for location. Just minutes walk to either Manuka or Kingston restaurants and shops. easy walk to the lake and easy access to main arterial roads. Room windows are double glazed and we found them very quiet. Bed was very comfortable, extremely hot shower. There are several excellent dining, bar and breakfast options within the hotel, that are obviously strongly patronised by locals as much as guests. Ample car parking underneath and if you book direct this comes at no charge. Complimentary bicycles to be utilised and a really nice touch are several jars of confectionary if you like. All staff we encountered were great, and just a little one but the elevators are quick...no hold ups there.

      Kylie and her team took exceptional care of us for our Wedding Anniversary and my Mum's 70th Birthday. Going above and beyond with the finite details. Awesome food at the restaurant (best Lasagne I have ever had) Thanks so much! :)

      Receptionist could not find our booking. we shoed booking confirmation from booking site but that was not fully in English but the partly like name and date. She immediately rejected to see it and ask for English one. The attitude were very aggressive and try to win her battle to justify no booking. Both me and wife were surprised on the attitude and shut the mouse. In the end after creating so much tension, she found my family name in last name column. She thought it was customer's fault but isn't it predictive one as professional receptionist? we rather felt racism from her series of aggressiveness. It killed our day.
