Do not judge the book by the cover. The entrance of Diamond Luxury may be a touch modest, hidden behind the surrounding taller hotels. However, this ensures the guests absolute quietness in this ever noisy city of Hoh Chi min which even expensive hotels facing noisy streets cannot provide. Each suite is spacious and clean. The bonus is the mini kitchen. The building is equipped with an elevator despite the modest accommodation fares. However, the best of all is the family members who operate this apartment-hotels. They are so relaxed and very helpful. They do not grudge time to call uber taxi and would even negotiate good price for the guests. Other hotels will just call regular taxis and leave the guests paying for round about ride rip-off. Oh, yes, the location is great. Close to everything. My mother and I spent great seven nights here.

The room is big, with a microwave, refrigerator, sink, dining area and living area, netfix is provided, wifi is strong. On the rooftop is a washing machine and hanging area. There are many places to eat around, there is Maison Marou (left) and Marcel Gourmet burger (right) on the street very near the residence. We booked our tour tickets through Klook and the meet up place is near diamond luxury. Ben Thanh Market is near although construction around the area made us walk more than if there was no construction. Takashimaya and Saigon Square are also within walking distance. A family-run business, Bobby, Ruby and Uncle are very helpful and accommodating. Water is provided for guests and this was appreciated as Ho Chi Minh can be hot and humid and you will really get thirsty all the time.

I was in Vietnam for vacation, with a friend. It was my first time in Saigon traveling from Da Nang to Hanoi, then Saigon. I travel frequently, annually around South East Asia. Always looking for good local mom & pop eats and a comfortable and safe, quiet place to rest. I was pleasantly surprised by Diamond Ben Thanh, tucked in a short alley and at first seemed strange, but it really very safe. I stayed in a superior apartment, and the photos on website are accurate and immaculately clean and bright. 2 temperpedic-like comfortable bed & 1 super comfy couch. It is quiet at night, & I was able to do laundry even at 11pm at night on the roof where there is a washing machine w detergent available (free to use anytime). The room has amenities such as shower gel, toothbrush, etc. As well as, pots, bowls, kettle & I cooked some instant noodles 2 nights in a row. There are several convenient stores right around the corner to the hotel. The staff were extremely helpful in supplying extra utensils. and this is a family run business so they care very much about your stay and safety in Saigon. So very friendly, they informed me where I can get real local food, not fancy dining. cheap or expensive, and I loved it. If you want to stay in District 1 and be close to Ben Thanh Market for tons of souvenir shopping, if you are new to Siagon, I highly recommended Diamond Ben Thanh. I was impressed with all the staff, Bobby, Ruby and Uncle. Even shared a few whiskey with him. Last but not least, the quality of the television and cable options are awesome! Big flat screen hooked up to Netflix, youtube, etc. When Netflix was suddenly logged out, they immediately came up to log us right back in. Loved coming back to the hotel to catch a movie and have a good nights rest. A++++ experience! Thank you to Bobby, Ruby and Uncle! I look forward to returning!

My family have stayed there for 5 days and it was absolutely incredible. I meant My GOD. It was okay the first couple days but then we realized we can do literally anything within 5-10 minutes walking and then come back to enjoy our peaceful night so we decided to stay longer. The price for the stay was reasonable for 4 people considering it is the central part of the city. The staffs always say hello to us every time we come around. The boss is pretty amazing. He asks us every-time, including my children who are under age, to have some kind of weird drink, which he called whiskey but I doubt it. The room is spacious for family or any purposes, a king- size and a twin-size bed. The room is super clean and the shower is okay. The Wifi is fast fast and they do have Netflix for free. We also enjoyed the party celebration for New Year, which we had free beer, food and FIREWORK and our kids really enjoyed it. Thank you everyone for your enthusiasm and friendliness, we will definitely come back in the near future.

    • Did not stay due to smell, promised a refund, but was later refused

I booked this place on a third party site a little too quickly, based on the strength of its overall rating and location. I was in a rush and this hotel came up after setting my usual filters for a search. After check-in, Bobby took me to me room and showed me around. The room was very spacious and had a kitchenette. It also had a strong smell of cleaning product but not like a lemon fresh scent, more of a very strong bleach-type smell. I thought I'd be able to air it out so i didn't say anything immediately. After Bobby left, I opened a couple of the windows and the door, but there was no breeze. So after a few more minutes I went to ask if there was another room and he showed me two others, both with the same smell (but not as strong as the first room). I knew I'd get a headache if I stayed in any of these rooms and asked Bobby if I could have a refund. He said yes, but that it'd take about two weeks, since it was booked on a third party site. I left and later called the booking site to confirm the cancellation. They said they'd call the hotel to check, but when they called me back, they said the hotel had refused the refund. Since it was a relatively small amount based on the value of bookings I've done through the third party site, they refunded me the cost directly as a goodwill gesture and said not to worry about trying to get it back from the hotel. I'm not going to comment further on the hotel's practices or anything else I saw there, but I do encourage anyone thinking of booking there to read the reviews thoroughly, look at the reviewer profiles, and read between the lines. I'll be more thorough in researching my bookings in the future.
