What an amazingly experience in a magical place. Sophia was my go to person for everything while I stayed there. She made my experience in Tulum extra magical with all her key suggestions and warm hospitality. Staying in Diamante K is an experience that I highly recommend if you're planning your trip to Tulum. Its away from all the noise in a serene environment where you commune with nature and not far from the Tulum ruins and fabulous restaurants in the hotel strip. Highly recommend if your looking for an oasis in a national park. Great service, space and value. Absolutely recommend 100%

This is an honest review the setting itself is breath taking. Breakfast is fantastic ... Staff are amazing. But the room allocated at the reduced rates are uninhabitable. There are a couple of rooms that are set way back from the beach and are literally backing onto a main road. This is the road which every one travels along to see the ruins. The traffic thru the day and night is deafening as the room has no real window but a large opening in the wall which serves as a window. The hut itself is very basic with no bathroom or storage space. It feels very very old and dirty inside. My family and me got no sleep whilst we stayed in this hut and instead of opening our eyes to the waves and sea (which we had imagined prior to booking and looking at the photos ) we heard heavy trucks thudding along all night and this got worse as the dawn broke. It was a total disaster of a night.

My wife booked us a long weekend in Tulum at the Hotel Diamante K. We flew into Cancun, and took an hour-and-a-half car ride to Tulum. The driver stopped in the middle of the road, and it was then I saw the sign. No clue how close the beach was until we stepped out of the car and walked toward the sign. Suddenly, the view from the path opened up onto the beach, which was no more than a hundred feet away. The water was a beautiful turquoise color. Our room was unlike anything I've seen before in any hotel. There were windows all around, which allowed a cool breeze in the evenings. The bathroom was open, and had a giant palm growing right inside it. It was hidden, but taking a shower, looking right up into the stars at night was incredible. The staff was awesome! Most of them spoke enough English to converse, which was good, since neither of us speak Spanish. They were very helpful when we asked questions about how to get to town, renting bicycles at the hotel, and visiting the Mayan ruins. Morning breakfast was spent on the beach. Days were spent in the hammocks or beachside beds. Evenings were spent eating dinner on the beach. It was certainly a slower paced lifestyle, and being forced to disconnect made the weekend very relaxing. One afternoon, we walked down the beach, to a public beach, and hung around there. Heading back to Diamante K made us appreciate the smaller, quieter setting. I HIGHLY recommend Hotel Diamante K if you are headed anywhere around Cancun. If you want a party atmosphere, you are better off closer to Cancun. But there was enough of a festive feel in the evenings that kept things lively.

We stayed at Diamant K for 1 week as a little getaway from the fast paced London city life and let me tell you, we were not disappointed. We stayed in the lavish Penthouse Suite, equipped with a King Sized bed with an aerial fan (very important touch), en-suite facilities and a vanity mirror. There were your standard facilities like a safe and toiletries but there were also some well received extras like bug spray and a mosquito net around the bed which really helped as these Mexican mosquitos can be ruthless! The private beach is very beautiful and is literally right outside your room. I couldnt ask for anything more - convenient and peaceful. Everyone - including the restaurant staff and the concierges were extremely polite and helpful. Now, the one thing that put a damper on our stay is the apparent scam that a separate masseuse company is running on the side of the beach. They approached me offering a relaxing massage, when i enquired about the price they mentioned it was 75 per hour - I thought this was great value as this amounts to a few s for an hour, converted from Mexican Pesos. The massage was extremely bland and lacked effort, but i assumed this was due to the low price. When it was time to pay, i gave her 200 MX$ (being gracious enough to give them a 50 MX$ tip for a horrible massage!) To my shock, she said that it is actually $75 USD per hour and insisted that we pay 2560 MX$ cash!! She deliberately failed to mention that it was USD as a way of suckering us in and only mentioned it after the massage. If we were tight for cash, this could have completely ruined the rest of our holiday. Diamant K is an extremely beautiful resort and perfect for a city break but avoid the massage parlour at all costs!

We stayed at Diamante K in a beach front cabin with private bathroom. While the cabin was not the biggest it was beautifully laid out and the bed was incredibly comfortable with a fan in the mosquito net above it. Due to the hotel being in the national park there is limited electricity so the rooms don't have air-con (just the fan) which can get a little noisy if you're a light sleeper like me. I would recommend taking ear plugs just in case (you also have the dawn chorus to contend with which is wonderful, but if you want a lie in then bare this in mind. We were put off by the idea of a shared bathroom so we went for a private bathroom- In retrospect we should have opted for the shared bathroom as in our cabin (number 5) the bathroom was in quite close proximity to the bedroom and the walls end at about 7-8 feet high. The bathroom was also very small and the shared ones are very spacious and looking at the other reviews are clean daily to a high standard. There are places to park at the side of the road (all the hotels at the beach are down one long stretch of road so most don't have car parks.) The location is great if you want a quieter area that is closer to town and to the ruins- south of the roundabout there are many more hotels and clubs in closer proximity to each other so it's a little noisier at night. I would recommend bug spray, ear plugs and to consider a shared bathroom (unless you have the largest room with a private bathroom.)
