      In alla aspects the service on this hotel was great. Wherever I was, whatever I wanted every need i might have was met. Of course the room was small and warm. But I took the cheapesst room avaliable. The cleaning of the room was super.

      The hotel, my first stay, was a last minute booking on Expedia. It is well situated alongside the marvellous Danube, away from the busy parts of the city but this is immediately accessible with a short walk. Good taxis. Very knowledgeable and pleasant staff. I was always greeted cheerfully and you feel nothing is too much trouble. The hotel is open and splendid with some beautiful stained glass decorating the large wide stairways. I shall return. The breakfast, a buffet was good. I was in room 249, a single room. A well maintained and clean room with a very comfortable bed and quiet at the end of a side corridor on the 2nd floor. I did not use the minibar but it looked reasonably priced. The restaurants looked good but I did not get to use them. There are a few good eateries nearby as well as some late night shopping for drinks and snacks. In this room, the internet was not great and the lack of air conditioning during a few very hot days meant I had to sleep with the windows open to get the room cool at night. I look forward to my return.

      Forgotten dress and blouse in the room on arrival day, could not be found by staff of the hotel on the next day. We had a short round trip with hand luggage only. It is not possible to leave that sort of things anywhere else. So make conclusions.

      Reminiscent of a former grandeur hotel, it unfortunately is a little worn and tired. The interior could use a thorough renovation to bring it to the 21st century. E.g. by AC installations in the rooms. The interior of the rooms, bed, linen, chairs and furnitures, could also use an upgrade. The breakfast buffet was good with a wide choice of continental dishes. The scenic restaurant was excellent - had the best 3 course treat with wines at a very reasonable cost. ENSURE if you order a taxi at the hotel to emphasize it should be the official yellow taxis and not the blak Elit taxis. The driver and one staff clearly had a kick-back deal and I paid double the fare going to the airport than when I arrived with a yellow one.
