    • Amazing Beach and Great Views

      Reviewed 03 October 2019

Most stunning views... we had a half board the food was very good for breakfast and dinner with a lot of different cuisines at the open buffet. ordering food and drinks during lunch was very expensive though. the beach was amazing the water is still because it is engulfed by the two mountains on both sides. The staff was friendly, the main con was that it was far from the city. The private pool was cold however worth it.

    • Lost for words!!

Currently staying in this hotel for a few days, and just had the urge to write a review to let everyone know how absolutely fantastic it is. I am never usually outspoken but all I can say at this particular moment is wow, wow, wow. This place has blew me out of the water; the service, the staff and most of all, the attention to detail. I want to thank all of the staff that work here, who put in so much effort and work to keep the operations running so smoothly. From the bottom of my heart, you guys need to know that you are the foundation of this place and without your appreciated constant professionalism and positive attitude, this place wouldn't be half as good as it is. A special mention to Michalis from the Spa who is just simply brilliant at what he does. Left the spa feeling really relaxed and has massively contributed to the overall holiday vibe. Will definitely be returning next year and hopefully for many more. Thank you!!!!

    • Exceptional Hotel

I stayed here for week in July and was not disappointed. The views are incredible and the beach is just perfect. Excellent service on the beach and the ocean is lovely and clean to swim in. The only downside is that if you choose half board your options are rather limited. I would suggest avoiding the buffet restaurant as the ambiance is absolutely terrible - feels like an IKEA cafe.

    • Birdseye

      Reviewed 26 September 2019

Had booked 8 nights for my honeymoon , Me and my husband actually checked out day before due leave for a number of reasons- 1 - We had a very late flight the next night and were unable to get a late check out- most the staff were not v friendly- maybe it was a communication issues. 2- If you want to go on a hike to get anywhere within this resort maybe this is the place for you. My husband hasnt done this much exercising since cross country at school - he needs another holiday just to recover. 3- We were staying half board- you cant have a 2 course meal for less than 120 (including the 30 pp off) I wouldnt mind if the food was exceptional it wasnt - my husband and I are massive foodies and were disappointed with every meal ( frozen fish etc ) except the spaghetti Bolognese room service - delicious ! 4- Two double gin and tonics were 45 ( may as well have been staying at the One and Only in Dubai.) 5- Good things - The staff behind bar on the top floor are great - and the two kittens at the beach bar are really cute.- (the long haired cat at the other restaurant was a bit mean.) On a positive note the actual settings and view were stunning. P.s if you like Birdseye frozen fish fingers order the monk fish tails for 32

    • A superb second visit

      Reviewed 25 September 2019

It is rather seldom that we return to the same place. We however did decide to return to Daios Cove within a space of 18 months not because we wanted to revisit Crete(wonderful a place as it is) but we needed to experience the resort again and the uniquely understated luxury it provides. Everything about this resort is beautiful. The decor is superb and there are so many places within the communal areas where you can find your own private corner to relax. The waiters/waitresses at the Pangea restaurant, the ever smiling Daniella and Isabella at the Crystal Box bar and the beach taverna waitresses are a credit to this organisation. The most impressive person again was Guest Relations team member, Marina Parvanova. This lady embodies the ethos of the resort and should be a shining example to all in the art of looking after guests without being overbearing. The quality of food and drink in all the restaurants were again excellent with a wide variety to cater to all tastes. The room was spacious, clean and tastefully decorated. The pool with the room was rather cold but was still enjoyable on a sunny afternoon. The tennis courts are one of the best that we have played in a resort like this and Zak, the mentor of the courts is a wonderful individual. My 3 suggestions to management will be: 1. Transform some of the rooms with pool to one with a hot tub in the balcony area. 2. Instead of the designer dining table with chairs in the central lounge, place a grand piano with a pianist for the evenings. 3. Let the guests have a copy of the individual bills when buying additional food and drinks at the bar and other restaurants so that they can keep a check on the spending. We will most certainly return to this wonderful place and please keep the fantastic work that you do.
