    • Incredible coastal vacation in Vico Equense

      Reviewed 28 June 2019

My family and I (7 people total) stayed in Vico Equense at the Cubo apartments and had the most incredible time. The apartments are a small family run operation, and they do it superbly well. After 8 long days of tours and museums throughout Italy, it was a perfect respite to relax and gain our sanity back. The breakfast every morning was to die for. There were many mornings I wanted to sleep in well past 10 but woke up for those scrambled eggs on toast with ham. The croissants are also local and great. The apartment was fantastic. The dinner at their rooftop restaurant was also great, with perfectly prepared locally caught seafood on the menu. We had an air conditioning issue the first night but they had a repair man come and get it fixed up promptly the next day. The beaches around are relaxing and nice. I highly recommend renting a scooter locally to ride and check out the rest of the coast, you won't regret it. I would recommend the Cubo apartments to anyone visiting the coast of Italy.

    • The Path of the Gods should start and end at Cubo Apartments!

My wife and i stayed here for 2 weeks making it our base while we where on the Amalfi was the perfect choice. The train station is a 5 minute walk as is the bus station and if you need to get to or from the Naples Airport on your departure or arrival the Airport bus stops 50 meters away! After a perfect nights rest in a very well kept and clean suite, you can start the day by enjoying Anna's ( Mama Mia! ) special homemade pastries, fresh squeezed OJ and a choice of hardy breakfast options and at the end of a day out you can put your feet up and enjoy the amazing views looking toward Mount Vesuvius across the waters between Vico Equence and Naples. The Europa penthouse suite where we stay also had spectacular views of the old castle and shore line. If you stay for a few nights then get ready for a fireworks show at least one of the nights you stay. Special events and weddings take place on a regular basis and they always end with a spectacular fireworks display that will add a "Wow" to any one watching...compliment that with one of Anna's homemade dinner options and you are now truly at the end of The Path of the Gods!! ... they also run a fabulous sushi bar on the main entry! So if you like local Italian flavor and hospitality then Cuba is the family run place to stay. Thanks to the rest of the family for all the tips and pre arrival information ( Steffi will take care of you )! Enjoy, explore and relax at Cubo Apartments, you won't regret it. Special Tip for Pizza lovers ... do yourself a favour and dig into a Pizza Metro ... they make pizza's by the meter!! World famous and a short walk from Cubo!!

    • Fantastic stay /hospitality at cubo apartments !

      Reviewed 25 May 2019

Me and my family stayed for 3 nights 4 days and got a incredible apartment with balconies for a good price. Very very spacious super clean amd homey, and also tons extra towels. The one thing that stood out was there amazing hospitality and how easy it was easy talk to them and for them to make us feel at home and comfortable. Near the end of the trip once we checked out and me and my family went to the train station (on the way to rome) I realized I left my passport at the apartment. We called stefania to see if there was anything they could do for us as we had a flight to Croatia in the next 24hours. VERY QUICKLY Stefania quickly arranged for the passport to be given to a bus driver on the way to Rome so that when we got there we can go pick it up. That night I went to the bus stop and got my passport safely :) If it wasn't for stefania doing that, my families entire trip would of been ruined as I would of had no passport and would of had to travel back to vico equense to get it. All in all me and my family had an amazing stay at the cubo apartments and were super grateful they helped us out so much with the passport situation. Amazing people and we highly recommend staying with them! :)

This is the best choice of accommodation ever in Sorrento Peninsula. Its a family run apartment but it has the best view of the Bay of Naples and Mt Vesuvius from our room. They install and use the best quality high technology products/electrical goods. We were impressed with every single thing that they use. The mother Anna is a very good chef and we had our best pasta and seafood meals in Italy from the restaurant downstairs; Cubo Signum. Apart from that, Anna bakes very good homemade cakes as well. We had it everyday. The wide selection and quality of breakfast is very good as well. The vegetables and fruits are grown in their own garden. The mother picks the seafood fresh from the market everyday. We had grilled fish and vegetables, pasta with squid (twice), tagliatelle Bolognese over a couple of meals. The daughters - Angela and Stefi run the operation meanwhile. The family is very warm and hospitable. We felt like a family during our stay. Vico Equense is small but it is definitely a wise choice to stay there as it is less crowded and commercialized. Train to Sorrento from Vico is just less than 15 minutes. We highly recommend Cubo Apartments and Cubo Signum. We will definitely go back again.

My partner and I stayed here in the off season (Start of March). I don't have a bad thing to write about Cubo, the family was so accommodating to our every need, We stayed in Oceania Room which was amazing and spacious, for just the two of us, we had lots of room to relax, the room was cleaned everyday, towels replaced and the sheets replaced every second day. It was fully serviced, so we had a fridge with the fully equipt kitchen and stocked up on drinks and some nibbles between meals. The apartment was very secure with a keyless entry into the hallway and then a key into our room, we shared a hallway with another room, one thing would be the wifi, as it was bolted into the concrete wall it wasn't very good in the room and we had to lay by the table to be able to catch up online, however it was a good thing being able to spend more time together. The rooms are very soundproof and even though it is on the main road, you cannot hear anything when the doors are closed on the balcony. We ate at the restaurant for breakfast every morning, with a selection of your typical italian breakfast, and sometimes some extras which were freshly made by Mama. We drank also at the hotel some nights and had dinner, all meals were great made with fresh ingredients from Mamas garden. The Hotel is situated just up from the city centre and it was a nice walk around the town in comfortable shoes. We ate at Terramia which is right next to the hotel which was our favourite in the town, as it was off season still not much was open still. I would definitely recommend to anyone who wants to stay out of the busy sorrento or positano and hire a car or scooter to get around to those places.
