      We got to the hotel and were upgraded to a mini suite, what was just great. We decided to go for a drink nearby and came back late night finding a terrible bad odor coming out of the room. Could not stay at the minisuite and had to argue with the night manager as he insisted that the hotel was at 100% capacity what was absolutely not true. Must correct soonest, as the last night at the hotel, while at the bar, during heavy rain the stench came back on that part of the property.

      Do not expect a Crown Plaza. Just a regular business class hotel, and you will not be disappointed. The pool is really small, and the place is outdated (I have stayed at holliday inn express hotels which are better in terms of technology). However, it does have an outdated fee, which compensates the lack of renovations. To be fair it is a good deal. The service is good, with room for improvements to make it exceptional. What i like the most on this place are the views from floors 4 and 5, which are exceptional!!

      I am actually still in the hotel. Customer service is horrible. Firstly, it took a very long time to check in, like 20 minutes; they had to swipe my credit card three times to successfully charge me, even though my credit card details have been in my profile for years, and also provided during booking. Secondly, she asked if I want to setup a "voucher", I asked her what is a "voucher", which she didn't explain, then she said she will charge the room rates for my stay, which is fine. I asked about food, and she said that the only thing available is Room Services, which I indicated that I will order. Then I ordered some tacos, and when it was delivered to my room, I wasn't given an option to charge to the room, which is very strange, he demanded cash. I said I want to charge it to my room, and the delivery person said, "one moment", and left the room. I thought he was going to print something for me to sign. Before I knew it, Front Door Receptionist called me, and was not very pleasant, saying that I did not have enough in my credit card prepayment to pay for the food (it was only US$9!), and said that I must pay in cash, or I had to come down to the reception to pay for it with my credit card. This is just ridiculous, every major international branded hotel I stay at, always pre-charge a little extra to cover incidentals, and why didn't she do so? She tried to blame me for declining the "voucher system", I didn't even know what the bloody voucher system is! In addition, I am a Spire Ambassador member, IHG has known me intimately for decades, does she think that I was going to run away from the hotel skipping a US$9 charge? She has my credit card details, and she could've just charged it. The problem is that she takes TOO LONG to charge credit card. I am not going to come to reception and waste half an hour for her to play with her machine to charge US$9 to my credit card while the food gets cold. I asked her, does she seriously think that I would run away from the hotel not paying the $9 tacos? She said she has to call the manager. I said fine, get the manager to call me. After waiting another 20 minutes, the manager never called, the food was sitting on my table getting cold. I finally told her to take the food away. Instead of being courtesy and apologetic about the whole experience, she just said she would send someone to pick up the food. Another 15 minutes went by, and no one came. I had to call her again to advise her that I am going to leave the food by my front door, and she better calls someone to pick it up and cancel it. The whole experience was just sureal. This is my first time I stay in Mexico, and so I chose Crowne Plaza, expecting a certain level of customer services, and this is what I got! I am calling UberEats! IHG can take the tacos and throw it in the bin.

      The Hotel is well located, the staff is very friendly, the room was excellent, easy parking, very good breakfast definitely, I will return, the price is reasonable and the internet connection was very good.

      Not up to Crowne Plaza standards we are used to.Currently a construction site with noise for who knows how long. Food is ordinary, wine list non-exisitant. No English TV channels. Pool non functional and empty. Elevators constantly faulty with key entry system.
