    • Nice Property

      Reviewed 1 day ago

We had a room on the 7th floor and the views of the lake and mountains were very impressive. The location of the property is hard to beat while staying in Queenstown, you are a short walk away from everything this town has to offer. The service and the buffet breakfast were also quite good. My only complaint about this hotel was that I could easily hear the people talking in the adjoining room.

    • Disappointing

      Reviewed 3 days ago

Technically I suppose the room was a lakeview room, but being barely above the entrance canopy meant the view was mostly of the drop off, the road and the busses dropping guests off. Additionally the room seemed to have very noisy airconditioning ducts. Even though I switched it off it was very audible during the night. The room was clean and modern and staff very friendly and helpful, but the price did not match the quality of the room/stay. Ill try another next time, plenty of choice.

    • Highly Overrated Hotel

      Reviewed 5 days ago

Disappointing! After 4 days & 3 nights we came to the conclusion this is an overrated hotel. The good parts were few: breakfast, laundry room, location. The not so good are very numerous but it starts with the room air conditioning system. We had to change rooms because of the sauna effect. The second room was standard and ok. Housekeeping was minimal. In fact, we had to go the the front desk to ask them to have housekeeping return to the room to do basic cleaning; bathroom and vacuuming. They did provide towels, shampoo etc but did absolutely nothing to clean the counter top, toilet, floor etc. BTW. No-one responded to our request to have the room redone. Not exactly customer service oriented. Perhaps that is due to the captive audience they have with waterfront hotels. Queenstown has about 30K of visitors in one day to supplement the 23K of the permanent residents. Another point; we had dinner with a group of 18 on the first night in their 360 restaurant. I counted the number of people in the 360 restaurant: 8 plus us. We started at 715 in the evening and were finally served our meal at 915. If we were dining as a couple we would have walked out. Ok, the meal was actually very good. I could go on and on about this place but my recommendation is find another hotel. Despite this, Queenstown is incredible and worth a longer visit but use another hotel.

    • Comfortable stay and really good breakfasts

      Reviewed 09 February 2020

When our trip to Milford sound was cancelled we booked in here at short notice. The room was very comfortable. We paid $20 per person for breakfasts which we thought was a good deal. They had a juice making machine and a good egg station. Would definitely return.

    • Great Spot and clean !

Stayed for three nights on 5th floor Courtyard view. Very nice room , large and clean with strong shower flow and excellent included wifi. Bought the breakfast option for $20 a person $32 if not booked in advance . Excellent buffet style breakfast with egg omelette station deliver to your table . Lots of options with bacon sausage many types of bread juices and so on. Nice to stay in and get a great breakfast . Hotel is very close to all the activities downtown with a crosswalk directly in front of hotel to get there. Extensive choices of restaurants and bars and shops minutes away . Front staff were excellent and accommodating to any requests. Conscierge service in front lobby very helpful. Cant go wrong with this choice.
