    • Favorite hotel

      Reviewed 02 August 2019

This was our favorite hotel out of 4 really nice hotels in the Alps. It was nearly perfect. They don't really advertise it, but they have high quality bikes that you can borrow for free which made it perfect for me. Also lots of places to relax outside and for the kids to have fun.

    • Understated luxury

      Reviewed 18 June 2019

This is a hotel in the grand style but welcoming and cheerful. The staff were excellent, knowledgeable and helpful. Ample safe parking. The garden terrace and lounge are elegant in marble and modern paintings. Pet friendly. Lovely meals. Great breakfast. Located in a small village it is close to mountain passes and St Moritz. I would go back.

    • A very poor service for a very basic hotel

      Reviewed 31 March 2019

We stayed there for one week and we are very disappointed for the poor rooms, common spaces, food and service. But the worst thing was the freezing pool, impossibile to go inside. We complained many times with the Reception but nobody cared about. Never again!

    • Fondue - avoid!

      Reviewed 15 February 2019

This grand hotel may be a good place to stay but if you fancy a fondue, avoid their pop-up fondue restaurant which the hotel has created in the bike room. Cheesy Swiss music and dreadfully blinding lighting are two negatives but the service was appalling. We tried in German but the waitress Chef de Rang did not understand us. Her English was moderate. The only other waiter visible was still clearly in training. The house fondue itself was decent but we were served the wrong wine, bottled mineral water rather than the tap water we ordered (tap water is on the menu at a charge) and the pickles only arrived on second request. The room is charmless and reeks of cheese. AVOID!

This hotel has it all, old time charm with modern amenities (that suit a family), great employees that go the extra yard, a wonderful culinary spread that puts some of St. Moritz plushest to shame(thanks Chef Rolf!!), comfortable rooms, a pristine environment, easy access and last but not least it offers some of the best value for money. Please keep it up, as we will tell everyone that the best secret place to stay is kept right at the doorsteps to lush St. Moritz! Thank you for making our stay so memorable!
