    • Particularly convenient, albeit pricey, for post-Red Rocks concert nights

This hotel is simple, clean, and really conveniently located off of Highway 285. The reason that is important is that it's wonderfully situated next to the road that will take you to and from Red Rocks Amphitheater. You can be at the Amphitheater or back from it in about 20 minutes, which is enormously convenient. You'll pay for that privilege as I am not sure the actual room was worth the room price (booked through the Marriott Bonvoy App). One of the things that certainly jumps out from a ground floor room are the very high ceilings, which enhances the sensation that the rooms are spacious. The rooms, albeit a little dated, are clean and well appointed with beds. I wonder if the beds may be hand-me-downs from Marriott big-brother rooms as I do recall consistently firmer and more comfortable bedding in Marriott hotels. A comfortable couch, modern lighting fixtures, a slightly noisy but effective air-conditioning system, an average-sized flat screen connected with a number of streaming services, a mini-fridge, and wooden drawers and chests complete the room's amenities. Almost all of the wooden furniture and even the wall hangings showed small signs of wear or aging on the edges. My one night stay did not allow any time to take advantage of their small indoor pool and hot tub, but they have these and though each floor has an ice machine, my floor's ice machine had no ice either on the afternoon I arrive nor the morning after. The hotel's lobby, bar, and little restaurant were clean and inviting, but again, I didn't have time to enjoy these common amenities either. I would have had a perfectly good night's rest but for another guest's, I certainly hope it was another guest, accidental intrusion in the wee hours of the night. Obviously that is not necessarily the fault of the hotel staff, who did apologize the next day, but it was quite jarring nonetheless.

The hotel rooms are dated which didn't bother us but the fact that it's right next to the highway was bothersome as it was very loud. The girls at the front desk were great and moved our room which was a little better. There was also what we believe may have been a malfunction in the rooms sprinkler, my husband and I both woke up at 330am wet from something?? Totally strange and the hotel offered free breakfast which was nice but needed as we just wanted them to be aware as strange as it was. But overall probably wouldn't stay again.

    • I would have to agree- NOT a typical Courtyard

I noticed others has concern- indeed this is not the up to par Courtyard. Subpar at best. The lobby and welcoming and restaurant is nice. Room not so. Not even clean. Still saw hair the the ledge of the tub. Gross! And the hair that you would want to see....pubic hair. Yuck. I hung with it as I had no other choice but was surprised. And my room smelled of weed because someone across the hallway smoked it in their room and literally leaked into mine. Gross. I just tolerated the experience. Check out was fine. Next time I will not stay with the chain I have always loved.

    • Rooms need serious renovation

I recently stayed at this hotel while my boyfriend was on a work trip. The hotel was near where his work was taking place, but extremely inconvenient in terms of visiting the city of Denver itself. Our room was in dire need of a face lift. The carpet had stains throughout the room, and I was uncomfortable walking bare foot. As an experienced traveler, I don't feel this hotel is of Marriott standards which is unfortunate because I feel the Marriott brand to be a strong one. I would not recommend this hotel and hope Marriott updates the rooms, or at the very least, replaces the stained carpet.

I stayed at the courtyard at the beginning of October 2018. I originally booked my hotel room through Expedia and paid for my room on Expedia. Upon arrival the not so friendly male at the front desk asked for my credit card, I told him I already paid for my room but he proceeded to swipe my card anyways saying it was for incidental refusing to give me the keys unless I provided my card. I got home to Canada a few days later and saw he did charge me for the room. It took me over 12 days to get a refund back. I spent multiple hours on hold, sent many many emails was transferred from person to person to person with finally getting a refund for 15 dollars less than what he over charged me. I found out this was because it was a Canadian card and the amount was in US dollars that I was loosing out. Luis, the manager at the hotel is rufusing to take action in the hotels mistake and is not providing me a refund for the exchange. Was not very professional, very snarky and rude. Still out my 15$ because nobody wants to help me..
