    • Nothing Spectacular

      3.0
      Reviewed 17 July 2019

It is nothing spectacular, particularly when compared to its twin the Bishop falls. Both the falls can be seen from Mawlai or further down from the Bishop-beadon point within the Shillong city limits. The Beadon falls might impress during the rainy season, because its stepped descent otherwise does not make great viewing. Both Bishop and Beadon Falls, drop down to a deep gorge of Umshyrpi River, that flows through picturesque Suna Valley. Two rivers, Wah Umkhrah and the Umshyrpi, join together below the Shillong city limits to form the Wah Roro river before joining the Umiam river further downstream, feeding the Umiam Lake. The Umiam River ultimately joins the Brahmaputra River.

    • Beadon Falls A picturesque waterfall, specially in rainy season

Beadon and Bishop falls are generally known to be twin brothers as they cascading from the emerald green hill into a deep ravine of Umiam River. Beadon waterfall seems a little bit disjointed as it passes through steep rocky hills and stones before merging into the Umiam River. It looks awesome in rainy season.

Compared to other waterfalls available in meghalaya this is not upto that level and it has to be rainy to see the complete view. Not a must visit if you are covering other falls over there
