Room was nice and clean. Staff was friendly and helpful. Breakfast was much more than expected for continental breakfast. Food was attractively presented and delicious. We arrived late and staff member opened door before we had to call. This made it seem very welcoming!

We rented a room for a couple of nights and ended up extending our stay for an extra night. The hotel was remarkably quiet for being as full as it was. I didn't hear any footsteps above us; maybe heard a door slam in the hallway but wasn't very loud. The staff were friendly. The food in the morning was good...eggs, bacon or sausage, biscuits and gravy, waffles, cereal, yogurt, fruit...the typical hotel buffet breakfast but it was good and the food area was kept clean and well stocked. We had a room with two double beds and it had plenty of room for a chair and an ottoman, plus a desk/table for laptop work. A nice TV with lots of stations. I never did go to the pool area. Despite it having rained, the lobby area was clean. It was just an enjoyable stay. Right beside the hotel is a Hooters and beside that is a Chick-Fil-A and you needn't drive far to come upon many other eating establishments.

We stayed here 4 nights in October for parent weekend at UAH. We had a king bed along with an easy chair and ottoman in the room. That bed was the hardest bed I have slept on in a long time and the chair was deceptive in that it looked comfortable and was not. Bed and chair were both very hard. The linens were nice, the blankets fluffy but the mattress had us both aching by the end of our stay. The towels were a bit scratchy and the hotel had a weird "deodorizing" smell that permeated everything. The staff was friendly although the desk was vacant often which made us a bit uneasy, especially when returning late at night when the doors just opened but there was no one around. Our room keys ceased to work on the 3rd day of our stay which was disconcerting. We had to haul down to the desk, wait for the attendant to show up and request to get our keys fixed. We were never asked for our ID, the girl at the desk just swiped our cards and handed them back. This just seemed very odd and a bit lax in security to us. Perhaps this is just how things are done but it didn't sit well with us. The breakfast was what has become the standard hot hotel breakfast fare. Weird eggs and sausages an assortment of cereals, breads, pastries and of course the waffle machine. The selections were kept replenished and the coffee was good. There was also enough seating for guests which was nice. The proximity to UAH is excellent, easy to get to our DD's dorm as well as the hotel parking was close and readily available. The access off of University is a bit of a hassle as you can only access from the hotel side, otherwise there is a U-turn involved, a turn that we could never figure out if it was a legal or not.

Clean room, pretty decent breakfast, excellent staff. The breakfast staff in particular truly worked hard to keep the line going and everyone fed timely. Pool very small, but nice and warm. I only missed having a patio of some kind to linger on, but otherwise, I was very happy with my stay.
