    • Stunning location for this lovely lodge

We were lucky enough to stay in the newer camp which is fabulous. The tents have everything you could need, were spotlessly clean and very comfortable with stunning views from the deck. The dining area also has great views over the countryside and across to Lake Burundi. The food was excellent with a good selection of drinks available and don't forget to try the cocktails. Breakfast was a buffet with plenty of choice. The staff were all very friendly and helpful. Would definately recommend this quiet area to stay.

If this is "tent camping" sign me up! Amazing location for venturing forth, with a wonderful layout of the lodges that allowed expansive views from the deck and maximal privacy (it is a tent, so keep your voice down if you are griping about your neighbor and keep the earplugs handy in case the gripe is about snoring!). The reception/dining/bar area is just wonderful with an another expansive view of the sunset next to the fire pit. The padded cushions on the rock ledge for "Miller Time" - actually "Tusker time" were just grand! Decent bar selections and the food preparation was very nice - plentiful and tasty. The staff impressed immediately with a warm welcome, efficient luggage to the room and attention to every detail, including lighting your way to your tent after dark...just in case the hyrax that occupy every little rock niche decide to riot! Or maybe a lion -- their roar could be heard at night. Rooms are large, beds comfortable, the bath area offers all the comforts of home. Our ONLY complaint is that the credit card machine was out of service -- we were told by our tour company NOT to bring a lot of cash and that every lodge would take credit cards. We found this to be UNIVERSALLY not true. Advise you to bring twice as much cash as you think you will need for tips, drinks, souvenirs and incidentals. There are NO cash machines in the bush, and borrowing from that snoring neighbor is embarrassing!

Nice camp, tents were clean. Enjoyed the restaurant. Beautiful location, nice deck areas on each tent. Loved the large rock area that you can sit on to enjoy the sunset/sunrise. Staff was very helpful and friendly. We stayed here for 2 nights. We packed a picnic lunch for both of our safari days. My only complaint is the lunch choices were the exact same for both days,

This was our first stay during our safari. Getting to the lodge brings you to the less touristique part of the Tarangire National Park. The welcome is very warm and after finishing your welcome drink, the local guides bring you to your tent. Sleeping is very good. Bathroom is well equipped. The tent is rather big and all the luxe you need during a safari. Although there is electricity in the tent, the charging of batteries (phones, camera's, ) is done at the reception/bar. There is enough space for everybody. A very nice view from the bar, although too difficult to see details. The bar is excellent and encourages to meet the other guests. During aperitive time a campfire keeps you warm. The food is simple and very good. Excellent wine and beer choice and all at very good prices. Breakfast is very good and you have the opportunity to make your own lunch box. Staff is excellent and always in for a good laugh.

I left a piece of me at Maweninga it was just amazing. The views and sunsets are out of this world. There is an open fire where you can watch the sunset and stargaze. The view is 180 degrees over a massive expanse of forest and lakes visible from the viewpoint, restaurant and your tent. It is breathtaking. Then there is the staff. Omg they are like family. They cant do enough to help and, unlike other places we stayed, not only met my gluten free needs but went out of their way to cook special alternatives. The lentil pancakes are to die for! Can I come back soon?? I miss you already.
