    • One of the best staff in Sri Lanka

      Reviewed 1 day ago

We had a great time here! the pool, the room, the restaurant are all up to our standards. The staff are very friendly and welcoming. The house keeping team, the hostesses and the waiters. One of the best waiters is called Hasala Lakshitha. He was always so nice, attentative and hospitable in our morning breakfasts experience. He always welcomed us with a smile and friendliness.

    • Awful Service and Rude Staff

      Reviewed 2 days ago

Could not believe I was cockblocked by a jealous staff member. Some girls had given me the wave from across the room and we had a smoke. No sooner did the friend leave then a disgustingly rude group threaten us. Pitiful and gfy hahaha is what they said and we were forced to separate as the girls and I were only minimally cumminicable.

    • Fantastic resort

My girlfriend and family enjoyed our stay here. We stayed here in preparation for my sister's wedding. The staff were very helpful, knowledgeable and kind. Buddika was very helpful as he helped print documents for the actual wedding ceremony! (Thanks!) The resort itself was beautiful and had two very beautiful swimming pools. The beach nearby had some shells on it which was a little unfortunate but overall the entire experience was great!

    • Good location to relax

      Reviewed 2 days ago

We stayed here for 4 nights at the end of a two week holiday ready for some rest and relaxation. The hotel is well appointed, rooms are large, aircon, hairdryers, irons and ironing board, mini bar, safe, toiletries and complementary bottle of water each day. The hotel has a few pools but it depends when your are staying for what access you have We stayed half board so only accessed these main facilities. The main pool (pictured) was nice, never over crowded and we got loungers and parasol every day. Its also right by the beach so if you want to wonder across for a paddle the very easy to do. The hotel provides towels for the pool but you cant take these on the beach but theyre are showers by the gates so you can wash the sand off before coming back in. The food in the main restaurant is excellent - wide range of choice, specials every day and a good selection to meet all different needs both for breakfast and dinner. You can purchase food and drink for around the pool during the day though limited choice for food by the pool, the Lava shrimps were fantastic. Staff were friendly, attentive and overall a great experience. The hotel is 5 only flag to this is yes its 5 star for the types of facilities, therefore 5 star for its offers and amenities, however there are a few bits around the hotel that are a little tired (some of the pool loungers and associates mattresses, towels by the pool). This wasnt an issue for us and having stayed in 7 hotels in Sri Lanka, this was bar far one of the best appointed. So just ensure your expectations are in line with the offers of the country you are staying in. The other thing to note is nearly all other hotels had umbrellas in their rooms for guest to use but here you need to sign one out from reception. We had one big downpour whilst staying so if its looking that way my advise would be to grab one in advance (huge golf style umbrellas). The local town is a tuk tuk away (easy and fun to do) but there are are number of great restaurants/bars on the beach and some of the best rated in area are just a 2 mins walk away for lunch, dinner for just sunset drinks. The location is also good for anyone looking for Ayurvedic treatment and we used Bentota Ayurvedic Center for a very relaxing massage would will pick you up and drop you back for free. Overall we would recommend.

    • Great service

We spent eleven nights here and enjoyed every minute, our stay was made extra special by the wonderful staff, especially Upal and Randi who worked the 800 bar they were so attentive with helpful information of the local areas and places of interest to visit, plus W.Rasika from the pool. Our room was immaculately cleaned every day with little extra touches with the towel sculptures from our room boy Kosala. The beach area is small but a short stroll to a more expansive stretch of beautiful sandy beach. The room was a little tired but spacious. We would definitely revisit as very good location. Overall an enjoyable holiday, Sri Lanka is an amazing country.
