    • Really interesting museum and great staff

I visited with my 8 year old daughter whilst on an overnight trip to Manchester and found this on TripAdvisor. I would totally agree with the positive reviews. The museum was really interesting and something a bit different. All the staff, volunteers I think, were very knowledgeable and could not have been more friendly and helpful. There was plenty of interactive things for children, e.g. getting dressed up in police uniform and going in the original police cells. All in all a great experience!

An absolutely brilliant way to spend a couple of hours for this dad and 8yo son! It's a shame it's opening hours are so limited, but get there whilst it's school hols, it's well worth it! The staff are wonderful, knowledgeable, and very friendly... I think most are ex force. The highlight for us was the visit from a serving officer with his sniffer dogs, who chatted to us for ages. And passing mounted police called to the yard whilst on duty. The displays are great, and the courtroom and cells brilliant. It's free, with a voluntary donation on way out, and I'm sure like us, everyone must feel its worth a few quid in the pot. Highly recommended.

Took my Grandson here about three years ago and remeber it as being a good day out, lots to see and do with plenty of photo opprtunities. Old police equipment to play with from a bygone age and lots of history. Very interesting place.
