Great food, nice quiet rooms. View of the castle from breakfast, Chepstow is a lovely town, fantastic bank holiday, here for Severn bridge half marathon. All staff were friendly and were very helpful when we requested early breakfast to get to the race

    • Checked out - didnt stay - insulting!

After checking in we were taken to a room that wasnt quite finished the carpet fitters had let them down. I suggest it wasnt just the carpet fitters! We were insulted that we were expected to accept the room, let alone for approx 100 pn. A room that had no security as the door handle was hanging off and couldnt be fixed, dirty, reaked of chemical paint fumes - among other things. They should NOT have booked out the room. As they had no other rooms to move us to, we were offered another guest house in a different part of town which we declined. Disgraceful!
