    • See a different side of Almeria and Sierra Nevada - Beautiful location

      Reviewed 14 June 2019

The hotel is situated on a hill overlooking the beautiful villages of Laujar de Andarax and Fondon. It has plenty of parking and the hotel is large, modern, clean with a helpful and welcoming team. The rooms are individual apartment blocks with a balcony and terrace situated amongst the countryside, with plenty of trees, places to seat, easy access to the pool, quietness, dark skies for skywatching and a 20 minute (steep walk) to the local town of Laujar and trail routes such as El Nacimiento. Each room features a bath and shower, wardrobe, fridge, tv and remote, bed which is reasonably comfortable (open coil mattress), air conditioning, small sofa and chairs with bedside tables. Breakfast is a good buffet with freshly made white and brown bread which can be toasted, selection of jams, pates, cold meats and cheeses, as well as the usual cereal, yogurt, fresh fruit, fruit juices, teas, coffee, hot chocolate (with hot or cold milk) and pastries. There is a bar open during the day for the pool and the restaurant opens from 8am until 10pm with a 3 course set menu for 15 euros or choose from the extensive options from an extended menu. There are good restaurants in town and tapas bars at inexpensive prices e.g. 2 large beers and tapas for under 5 euros. I would highly recommend this hotel, as I have never stayed in a hotel with a beautiful setting which is so quiet, clean, good access routes to Sierra Nevada. Bring a travel kettle or hair dryer if you need them.

    • Lovely hotel in a beautiful setting

We recently stayed in a one-bedroom villa and were very pleasantly surprised by the cleanliness, quality and friendly atmosphere of this lovely hotel. The setting is phenomenal with wonderful views in every direction, from beautifully planted and maintained gardens. Although our stay was very short we felt that we had had a really relaxing break and will certainly be visiting again very soon. As someone who is gluten-intolerant I was impressed with the very clearly labelled menu which meant that I could dine with confidence in the restaurant - where the knowledgeable waiter was extremely helpful. Thank you to all at the hotel for making our stay so memorable.

This is a lovely hotel. The rooms are all bungalow style accommodations, giving it a very traditional feel, and it is nestled on the hill side providing great access to the Sierra Nevada for walks and sight seeing. There is a lovely little village a few minutes walk away, and if youre driving there is a lot to see from to.

    • Really nice place

The studio is not amazing but enough for two nights and two people, the mattress is the worst, but the area, the silence, the views, the swimming pool, the breakfast and the reception worth the 4 bubble. Free parking. Not in the center of the village.

    • Quiet visit

This hotel at this time of year is very quiet and in partial shutdown. Facilities are closed and maintenance minimal. Be prepared to take some things you'd normally expect to find in a hotel room eg a hairdryer, a travel kettle. I have to say I was disappointed with the service from some members of staff and lack of facilities available. But it's a great location and access to hill walking areas is convenient. Laujar de Andarax is a lovely town and the locals incredibly friendly. Plenty of bars and cafes, really enjoyed my time in the town. Great shoe shop and artisan food shop. Will return in season.
