    • Interesting!

      Reviewed 04 September 2019

Went here with my daughter. We both had the Thai noodles with chicken for her and shrimp for me. Food was well presented and very tasty. Her chicken was a little on the dry side. My shrimp was perfectly prepared. This was a spur of the moment kind of thing and we both traveled about an hour Probably wont go back but just because its a little out of the way.

    • Dont go without a reservation

The restaurant was mobbed on a Monday night, and we had to wait almost a half hour for a table even though we had a reservation. The manager was apologetic and affected us a free round of drinks, which was good because we also had to wait quite a long time for our food to appear. The food was excellent, including the Mexican Street corn, wonderful fish, and intense sorbets but youll have to decide for yourselves whether its worth putting up with the long waits and very noisy room.

    • Fine city dining in a lovely classic New England town!

      Reviewed 22 July 2019

We made reservations for dinner and when we arrived, our table was waiting for us. The restaurant is long and narrow and the tables are close together, and the bar is almost as long with plenty of seating there as well. The staff works together like magic and lots of them have worked there for a long time, which is a very good sign. We ordered one of the specialty drinks and it was cool and refreshing. The vibe is lively and there are lots of regulars to chat with and enjoy the company. We ordered oysters and a tuna shashimi appetizer. The oysters were fresh and cold. To say the tuna was delicious does not do it justice - it was fantabulous! The fish was melt in your mouth and the side cabbage/beets/fennel with greens salad was heavenly. For our entrees we had the panko haddock with jasmine rice and a squash variety. Again, an excellent dish and the portions are just right. The other entree was the Pearl rice bowl with chicken and shrimp. Our taste buds were exploding from all the flavor in this serving. Abby our bartender/server was efficient and friendly. We hope to join the rest of the regulars and come here more often. Our only regret is that we never tried it out before. Who knew what we were missing? We ordered the

    • Small place but delicious food, pricy

Took my dad to The Pearl for Father's Day. Second time I've been, first time was a few years ago. It's a small place but very modern and classy. You're almost sitting elbow to elbow with strangers. They can definitely hear your conversations and you can hear theirs. The crab cakes got smaller (only 3 and a little bigger than the size of a quarter) and more expensive since the last time I was there. Special app was pork belly and shrimp summer rolls. Very good! Assortment of dips and sauces for them. The special cocktail was an alcoholic strawberry lemonade and was delicious. I can't stop raving about the NY Strip steak, it was amazing. The frites were basically potato sticks and a pile of arugula is not a good "side." Hubs got 18 oysters to share. They were good but small. We didn't get any MA oysters but did get ME and PEI. Dad got the ahi tuna entree and said it was good. 2 apps (1 free with coupon), 4 drinks, 18 oysters ($3 each), 2 entrees and 20% tip totalled $203. Ayup. The food is quality but not somewhere we will frequent often.

    • Excellent restaurant with great staff

      Reviewed 06 May 2019

We were here with a very large party and the staff did a really great job making sure we were all taken care of. Our food came out quickly. Everyone there enjoyed their pick. The drinks were also really top-notch. We ended up holding the staff there well past their normal closing time, but they were very patient with us. Great job.
