    • Our home away from home.

      Reviewed 06 August 2019

Been staying at Casa Ferrari for many years, now as we go to Bulgaria twice a year and this is our place to stay while in Sofia. Great location, amazing owners that go the extra mile to make our stay comfortable. It truly is our second home.

    • Charming place in lovely neighborhood

      Reviewed 17 June 2019

I loved the location because it was in a real neighborhood, but walkable to the tourist attractions. Everything said about owner Ludmil is true! He really does care. I went on a private tour with him to Rila Monastery and it was a lovely, interesting, relaxing day. Ludmil discussed the history, but added his personal life experience about the years of the Soviet occupation. The room was impeccably clean and a wonderful value. I loved my stay there.

    • Location, location & location!

The location is terrific; its close to downtown (10 - 15 minutes walk) and metro station (7-minute walk). The owner, Ludmil is down to the earth. He always says yes too all my requests. :-) He picked me up at airport, gave me the introduction of Bulgaria history & things to do in Sofia. I feel comfortable leaving my luggage at Casa Ferrari and took a 3-day trip to Plovtiv. The place is very clean. There is a kitchen where I could make tea or use microwave to reheat food. There are fridge, coffee maker, stove and steaming ironer which are convenient. The furniture (Italian antique) is very impressive. There is a lovely backyard that I see kitties walking around. Its quiet and relaxing. Highly recommend!

    • Great place

Brilliant little b&b in a good location (an easy 10 minute walk to Sofias main street, and 30 minutes from most of the main sights). But the host, Ludmil, is what makes this place so special. He is such a friendly, informative guy who really helped me make the most of my short time in Bulgaria, and provided a tasty Bulgarian breakfast every morning. I definitely recommend staying here when in Sofia.

    • Ludmil: The perfect host

      Reviewed 02 April 2019

My wife & I recently had the pleasure of Ludmil's hospitality at Casa Ferrari B&B. Ludmil brings in the perfect blend of the personal touch of an B&B host, complemented by the professionalism from a top-brass hotelier. The property in itself, is located within a convenient walking distance (12-15 minutes) from the central Vitosha Boulevard. The main tourist highlights are along a stretch a bit further away. Casa Ferrari is a very well-maintained and well-stocked apartment, in a quiet neighbourhood. The only aspect we can think of for how our stay could have been better, was if the Blue Room had one double bed instead of two adjacent single beds! Ludmil was very accommodating with our early check-in request, and super prompt (within a few minutes, on MOST occasions) with all our many queries before our travel - including some eleventh hour ones on the very night before travel. On the first day, Ludmil received us at the apartment and guided us through recommendations for things-to-do and places-to-visit over the course of the day. Unfortunately, we were a bit crunched on time in Sofia and this early prioritization helped immensely. The next morning, he served us a traditional Bulgarian breakfast, and over breakfast, we had one of the most memorable and informative conversations on the history & economy of Bulgaria. From the context of Bulgaria's history through the ages - Roman era, the Bulgarian states, the Ottoman empire, the Communist era and now the Traditional era, to deeper insights into cultural nuances and the economic drivers of the country, Ludmil thoroughly engaged us in an enriching conversation for almost 90 minutes! This was the highlight of our stay at Casa Ferrari, and one that differentiates Casa Ferrari (and Ludmil) from any other top-rated hotel. In summary, we would strongly recommend Casa Ferrari. If you - like us - appreciate time and conversation with your host, you won't regret it!
