Great spot to come back end of day. Short walk to town. Great little bar a couple of minutes walk and a couple of local restaurants we did not have time to try. Breakfast was excellent, staff great from check in to check out.

I didn't want to leave this lovely place. We opted for the apartment with an outdoor patio, looking out on the walled city of Obidos. You are on a wonderful country estate, surrounded by pear orchards and wildflowers and birds. The apartment was so cozy and comfortable with a nice sitting area, kitchen, one bed, and then another bed up a small stairway, which was just perfect for someone looking to escape a snoring husband. It was so nice to open the windows and hear all the birds. The gentleman who showed us around was very nice to talk to, and very helpful-he even allowed us to use their washing machine. You can walk 5 minutes to restaurants in a little town, but it was so nice right there, that we bought simple food from the grocery store and stayed in. There are 2 good, large grocery stores in town. They have a nice pool, it was a little cool, but also refreshing on a hot day. There is a communal breakfast served in the dining room in the main house. It was very good, with a good assortment of food. They will make you eggs also. I really loved this place-wish I were there right now.

Only a few hundred meters from bidos, Casa DObidos is a converted manor with few rooms. Quiet and old times decor. We loved the great breakfast. Only little downside: the period beds are a little short for very tall persons. You may want to ask for a long bed when booking.

We are two couples travelling together and required parking for our hire car. Our travel agent recommended Casa DObidos as a place that would suit us for our one night stay in the area. We found the 3 bedroom cottage Cristina very comfortable and each bedroom had its own bathroom. The cottage had an old world charm and was set in a beautiful garden setting. Breakfast was provided with yoghurt , ham and cheese in the refrigerator and early in the morning beautiful fresh bread rolls were left at our door? It was also unexpectedly hot so we used the pool to cool off and relax. We would highly recommended this property if you want a cost country stay close to the old town of bidos

We stayed one night in a room upstairs in the main house. The manor house is quite beautiful, on nicely landscaped grounds, and there's a great vista of the walls and castle of Obidos from the grounds. The building is furnished and decorated in "traditional" styles. It was very comfortable and quiet and the breakfast, served at a communal table, was very satisfying, with lots of fresh fruits, cheese, meats, breads, and pastries. We were told that you could walk to Obidos through the orchards, but it was late in the day, so we drove to the edge of town to go there (and on Sunday late afternoon, ti was still quite mobbed with visitors, though quiet after dinnertime).
