Charming guest house conveniently located in the centre of everything with free parking close by. Room was very comfortable, airy and clean with a window that opened onto the street below and the breakfast was very good. Sundrenched courtyard. The house itself is so quaint and welcoming and the staff are lovely. Truly enjoyed our stay.

We loved our stay in this amazing hotel right in the middle of medieval fortress of Obidos. It is beautifully appointed and offers all amenities of the modern times while allowing you to wonder the streets of the village after all the crowds are gone. It is also very conveniently positioned if you want to visit Tomar, Alcobaa and Batalha

    • Lovely small rooms, great location within the walls of Obidos

As soon as you walk through the gate into Obidos you will see a place on the left called Tuba Bar. Walk past the bar and take a left turn, at the top you will see the entrance to the hotel. It is a very quaint place, the owner was very nice and more than happy to help you with anything. The first thing we did was ask her if she would put our bottle of wine in the refrigerator which she was happy to do (and she had a very little refrigerator). She showed us to our rooms. Each of us had a room with a bath and a double bed. The rooms are small, fine for one person, a little crowded for two. There was a musty smell in the lobby area but upstairs the bedrooms were clean and crisp, no odors and no fragrances. I must warn you, the beds are very hard. I actually went downstairs and lifted two cushions off a chair and lined them up on my bed so I could sleep. Europeans like their mattresses a little harder than my comfort level. Breakfast was typical European: meat, cheese, yogurt, cereal and pastries were available. I really liked this little hotel but I would not go back because of the hard mattress.

    • Great location, average hotel

This little inn is so beautiful and quaint from the outside in a great location within the castle walls. On the inside, the decor is also cute and quaint, brimming with antiques and interesting common areas. The room we stayed in was towards the back of the house. It was quiet, which was good, however, the room is small and dingy. The bathroom is also small and dark. The shower head fell on us upon turning off the water, so be careful. I got quite the head bruise. Also, the smell of the hotel is moldy/musty, and the bathroom smells strong of sulfur when the water runs. If you are driving be aware access to the hotel by car is tricky. DO NOT trust any GPS navigation apps. The best strategy is to park outside the walls and walk to the hotel first. The staff provide excellent directions for getting to the hotel with the car. Parking can still be a challenge. The town of Obidos is thick with tourists. I agree with other reviews that only a few hours in town is sufficient. I bought some cute clothes though!
