    • Friendly, Helpful Staff, but Superior Capsule a Disappointment

      Reviewed 28 August 2019

Friendly, helpful staff. Appreciated the Free Tea dispenser in the lounge. Location just so-so, 15-minute hike from train station, and nearest (MaxValue) supermarket is about another 1 km north of Capsule Hotel. WiFi was pretty decent. But a disappointing Superior Capsule Room/Bed poor room ventilation so it was always hot and stuffy, bed is just a thin mattress on a hard surface, thin walls, a bit noisy, cramped space, poor lighting choices and there are no windows or natural light to the dorm area. Unfortunately, the ground floor lounge area was often noisy with annoying music playing.

My first ever experience in a capsule hotel. Capsule spacious enough for me. Common bathroom spacious, bright and clean. Community hall on the ground floor a cheerful place. Lots of snacks and drinks to choose from. Staff super super friendly and helpful. A large local wet market across the road great for getting sushi and having lunch.

    • Really great capsule hotel

      Reviewed 02 May 2019

Pretty far from the station, especially if you walk lugging around luggage during snowfall. The receptionist was really nice and friendly. I got updated to private capsule for free. The floors were separated by gender. Frew sleepwear, towels, and premium toiletries were also plus! Free drinks and hot water, the hotel also sold snacks and foods.

    • Cheap, clean & friendly accommodation!

First and foremost, this capsule hotel can be accessed by walk from the Hakodate station ( 12 min walk ). The moment I walked into the lobby, I was welcomed warmly with a genuine smile by the front desk staff ( cant really get that in Tokyo ! ). Around me, I noticed other foreigners taking part in activities such as putting a kimono ( helped by a staff ), calligraphy experience and others relaxing on the bean bags. I was then guided by a young lady staff to my capsule which actually surprised me because, you dont really get that in Tokyo. She explained to me what kind of facilities the accommodation had. The capsule I had was actually one of the biggest ( lucky me ), it was very clean! I later went down to the lobby because, I was going to spend a few hours in the area taking night long exposure picture. I asked the manager where I could go to take great shots and he recommend an area that had illuminated buildings such as the Hakodate Meijikan ( the oldest post office in Hakodate ). It was going to a pretty long walk from the capsule to the this place but lucky me, the manager was actually heading back home at that exact timing and he offered to give me a free ride to the place he recommended!! Now this is hospitality ! Travel tip, making a phone call here to reserve is way cheaper that booking over the internet !

    • Best capsule hotel in japan for me

      Reviewed 13 January 2019

The best capsule hotel in Japan. I always travel and stay in capsule hotel all over the world. But this capsule hotel is outstanding. Let me break it down for you: 1. Very clean 2. All very good amenities 3. Not that far for jr station (i dont mind to walk) and cable car station. 4. Very good internet's connection 5. Very good for capsule hotel facilities and especially the common room in the 1st floor (where you can find guitar and piano to play with) 6. They selling cheap alcoholic drinks compare the other stores 7. This is the best part... their staffs is very friendly, helpful, kind, professional and honest. I am very sure you wont feel like stay in capsule hotel, but you feel like stay in 4 stars hotel. Just a recommendation for you: try to upgrade your pod to the private pod. You wont be disappointed.
