We normally stay here on the run down from Bilbao to Cadiz and this is the 3rd time we have been here. Nice site , clean toilets and showers. The owners do take on board comments and they generally improve the site every year. It can get busy, its by the beach what do you expect? We generally like to stay in the large open area where there are bigger pitches but less shade. Would stay there again

    • A reasonable site

We stayed here last year and returned as it is not a bad site by Spanish standards. Some of the gripes have been attended to. There is now toilet paper and soap in the toilets and the girl on reception who could be rather surly is now more helpful and friendly. It is a good location and pitches can be made nice with the addition of ground sheets and windbreaks. There is a guy who works at the site with 3 small dogs who does not keep them under control and we witnessed them attacking other dogs on two occasions. This needs addressing by the site as it is unacceptable. What has chased us away this year, which is not the sites fault, are the constant fireworks which are more like loud explosions and which have been going on since a week before Christmas during the day and night. Our dog, who was previously not bothered by fireworks is now very upset by the loud explosions. As they occur any time day and night it is not something you can work around so we are moving on before New Year. This is mentioned as a warning for others with dogs who may consider visiting at this time of year.

We visited this site with the intention of staying a month to explore the area. We only stayed a week. The reception staff are very friendly and helpful and you ate guided to you plot by a man on a bike, he gave us the choice of four. The toilet blocked, there are three but one was closed as it was low season, are clean and well equipped. The beach, which is amazing, is literally across the road and there is a childrens play area outside. The town is close by and Cadiz is easily reached by bus, train or ferry. Sounds perfect, doesnt it? The downside was the area we were given was little more than a motorhome car park. The plots are a reasonable size but the trees are still young so there is very little shade. It can het very busy at weekends with locals, so lots of families so expect lively chatter, personally I thought it created a nice atmosphere. I would stay here again, but not for as long. There are another two areas of pitches with plenty of shade, one was closes for the low season and the other seemed to be assigned to regulars and seasonals.

    • Not great - Noisiest campsite in our six months in Spain

Pitches are okay sized for a camper, loos are pretty clean and it's near the beach. Good stuff ends there. If you are staying here, spend as little time as possible on it. The place is a zoo; expats of all types with yapping dogs and people shouting and making a row all hours, prison camp night-time lighting and random shouted unintelligible tannoy messages. High price for being near the beach. Other than that, it's a sea of calm. Back up into the mountains for us thanks......

Temporarily booked into this campsite but the receptionist was as bad if not worse than already reported in reviews. So unhelpful its a wonder she's still employed. We soon changed our minds and handed our papers back. I'm sure the facilities are good and clean but little or no wifi at an extra price, no toilet rolls or soap is a factor to consider when down the road at Camping Aquadulce in Costa Ballena all these facilities are included and with amazingly friendly helpful staff.
