Come here if you are looking for peace and quiet and pure Caribbean relaxation like swimming in calm transparent waters and sun bathing. Don't come here if you look for bustling nightlife or rich evening entertainment. - Service All service personnel is professional, caring and hard working. Your well being is genuinely important to the staff. - Rooms We stayed at Jr Suites & were upgraded to cottage after water pipe leakage in the suite. All rooms have gorgeous ocean views, are clean and well maintained. Surprisingly, the more upscale cottage had A/C only in the BR and TV set was only in the living room. Plunge pool in the cottage was great. In the JR suite the TV set was too small to watch from the bed. - Beach The beach is small, but the water is perfect -- clear & great for swimming and kayaking. Surprisingly for a resort that positions itself at the high end, there is no washroom on the beach and no bar either. Both are located a few minutes away uphill. Abundance of umbrellas and chairs at all times was a great bonus. - Food There is only one restaurant on the premises. But it is very good & varied. Fish dishes were really standing out. Selection of wines and heavier drinks was reasonable and good for AI. -Grounds: maintained to perfection. -Facilities: the gym was basic. No ping pong or pool table. -Spa: we had a couple of massages & both were great & relaxing.

Had lunch here on the 12th of August with some friends who live on the island. It was very disappointing. I complained to the un-smiling waiter that my meal was incomplete in that it had NO capers when this ingredient was specified on the menu. He came back with the lame excuse that the capers were mashed up and were part of the dressing! Never heard such rubbish in my life. On further investigation with the kitchen I was informed that due to an error the capers were not in the dressing at all and had simply been forgotten. The waiter then produced these in a small side dish with no apology. On top of all this the meal was crazy expensive. I will not be going back and I visit the island on a regular basis. Sorry.

It was such an amazing and magical resort. The staff paid so much attention to detail. This vacation in St. Lucia healed me and was exactly what my wife and I needed to relax and disconnect from the world. Chris at the bar deserves a special shoutout and helps to set this resort apart from others in the Caribbean. Thank you Calabash. I'll never forget you!

My Wife and I spent two nights here and it was a dream come true. Relaxing, refreshing and just pure serenity. The view alone is worth the visit. Everything is just like the pictures. It indeed was euphoric and we will definitely be back again in the near future!

I don't write reviews very often, but when you have an experience like we did at Calabash Cove, its impossible not to shout out how amazing this place is! My husband and I were looking for a peaceful, tranquil, adults-only retreat to spend our 50th birthday year and wedding anniversary and Calabash more than delivered on all that we had hoped for and more. From the moment I first emailed with Rohan to confirm our reservation and ask questions, he was so helpful, informative and welcoming. Everyone at Calabash Cove is amazing - there are so many wonderful people who work there but to name a few: Dina, Chanel, Kevin, Chris, Lance - thank you all for making our stay so memorable and so much fun! We love everything about this resort: its a small boutique hotel that feels so luxurious and intimate, but so tropical and so much like a home away from home. The food at the restaurant is amazing, we had all of our meals at Windsong and never had a bad meal. The welcome reception on Monday evenings is so intimate and so special and we loved getting to know the staff and other travelers over cocktails. The beach and the pool were never crowded - some days we had them all to ourselves! I guess July isn't the most popular month to visit St. Lucia because its the rainy season, but we loved that it wasn't as crowded. We stayed in a Junior Suite in the house next to the main one and we think it was so perfect for us because it was a bit quieter, and we loved having the garden view in front of the Caribbean Sea view. We feel so fortunate to have gotten the room we did; not only was the location perfect but an added bonus: our air conditioner worked so well! We loved it so much there that we only left one day for the entire week we were there to tour Soufriere, the volcano, the Pitons and see a few other highlights on the island. We did a private tour with Tim which I highly recommend - he knows everything about the island and is so informative, so friendly and was so awesome to spend the day with (I'll be writing a review about him and his transport service next!) Plus, he's an amazing driver who knows the roads and people in St. Lucia so well. A special thanks to Kevin and Rohan for recommending Tim - the day we spent with him was worth every penny and more and added so much to our stay. A lot of people talk about the road to the resort being narrow, bumpy and unpaved and yes, that's all true but we had such great drivers that knew the road so well that we never felt unsafe or worried. Plus, more reason to stay put in paradise aka Calabash Cove :) My husband and I had one of the best vacations ever, if not the best, and can't wait to return. We loved everything about the friendly island of St. Lucia, and can't imagine spending our time anywhere but Calabash Cove while there.
