Generous in size and well-appointed suite in a hotel by the river which is as close to the entrance to Zion National Park as you can get (conveniently, there is a small supermarket, plus a brew pub, between you and the free shuttle to eight stops in the park which runs every 15 minutes; there is also the town shuttle operating from the same site). Hotel site includes an excellent small cafe which would not look out of place in a big metropolitan centre. Australian visitors, take note, they can do a very respectable flat white.

    • Perfect location!

Rather late in the game I changed our hotel to Cable Mountain Lodge and I'm so glad I did! This hotel is in the perfect location to make your stay at Zion National Park filled with ease. The hotel is lovely--clean and new, and the rooms are very spacious with kitchenettes. Our balcony had an amazing view! Best of all, we walked out of the hotel, crossed the parking lot, and walked right into the main entrance of the park. We caught the shuttle right there, and there is even an outfitter right in the parking lot too, so you can rent what you need for the narrows easily. Also nearby: a brewpub, a coffee shop, a grocer, and a gift shop. What else could you need?

    • My Happy Place

If you are researching where the best place to book a room is for your trip to Zion, look no further! This is the place! From the moment that we pulled into the parking lot until the day we left we were happy with all of it. The check in staff could not have been nicer. It was our 25 year anniversary and they had rose petals and chocolates placed on our bed. The property has everything you need on it. Food, pub, shopping, pool/hotub, small grocery store and the pedestrian entrance to Zion are all right there. It was so nice. Our room had an amazing view of the Watchman too. We stayed in a studio and the space was generous. The bed was so comfortable. The staff are really friendly and so helpful with suggestions about hiking, dining, gear, etc. They make you feel like part of the community even if you are only there a few days. I wouldnt even think of staying anywhere else after our wonderful time at Cable Mountain Lodge.

    • Nice hotel in perfect spot!

      Reviewed 27 September 2019

We were referred to Cable Mountain Lodge, and it was a nice stay. The room was large, with a kitchen, and 2 queens. It was clean and quiet. Our room location could have been better, no view to speak of, and a walk to the pool. Ask for a room facing the interior courtyard. There was a laundry (bring lots of quarters!), and a nice upper level deck for relaxing. The location was great! It is the closest hotel to the park, and right next to several shops and restaurants you can walk to. You could even walk to the park if you want! We bought coffee there in the morning, and ate dinner one night at Zion Brew Pub. The pool was lovely, with great views! Towels are under bathroom sink in the rooms. We would stay here again!

    • Amazing suite

      Reviewed 23 September 2019

We upgraded from a studio to a wall bed suite, spending more than we had planned. But we were thrilled once we saw the room. It felt like a mountain condo. We were in the last building facing the river which runs next to it and deer were dining on the grass every night. Our small patio was perfect for afternoon cocktails and, although it was on the first floor, it had a spectacular view of the east wall of the canyon. The pool was chilly but the Jacuzzi was toasty. There is a laundry next to it. The room and bed were very high end and comfortable. TV service was flawless. It even had a very nice bidet! The local shuttle stop is in front but we walked to the Spotted Dog (excellent) for dinner instead. The park entrance is just a few steps away. The line for the park shuttle was huge at 8AM so we took a great Ranger Walk up the canyon instead. It ended at stop #2 about an hour later and we boarded a shuttle with no problem or wait. Breakfast is not included but there is a market across from the hotel that has a good selection of breakfast items. Their microwaved oatmeal was delicious for only $2.
