Once again we stayed at Browns Canyon Inn. It is still clean, comfortable, well maintained. The hot tub is new! The owners son checked us in very cordially and offered to help us in any way. This motel has so many interior and exterior embellishments that really set it apart. We look forward to our next stay here.

3 night stay on a fishing trip. I know my back is a little tender, but the mattress was just too firm to sleep on for 3 nights; went to pillows on the floor. No microwave or in room coffee, and the lobby coffee didn't start up until 7 am on two mornings. Not good for fishermen. Otherwise, clean, but just average even for the price and I won't return.

A fun place to stay - we chose it purposefully because it was not a chain, but local and unique. Our room was small but carried out the wild west theme with faux wooden furniture and rustic colors. No coffee maker in the room. No elevator - so if mobility is an issue request the first floor. It's a very small property - only 28 rooms. Others have complained about the paucity of breakfast, but it was adequate though limited (they ran out of cantaloupe about 8:15 and did not replenish it), but they had protein options and one hot offering, oatmeal. My only hesitation is that they had large community jars of peanut butter and Nutella for folks to dip out of, rather than individual sealed packs. I could only hope people in the peanut butter jar ahead of me were hygienic types. The coffee was bad according to my friend who drank it, and not hot - and the water for tea was barely warm enough to brew tea. It is a very small serving area and table area, as the space also doubles as the reception/check-in area, so it got crowded very quickly. Overall a great place to stay - I would stay there again if I am in the area.

The cutest decorall western done by owners. Actual artifacts. Worth a visit just to see grounds and interior. Room was great as were Derrick and Anna, receptionists and breakfast cooks definitely worth a stay in the delightful town of Salida CO.
