    • A must visit

I stopped in while visiting the town after a day hike. I almost walked by but decided to stop in and learn. So glad I did. The museum is small but had plenty of artifacts that tells the story of Ediths life. I looked at the artifacts first then watched the short film (9 minutes long) about her. After that, I looked at the artifacts again and decided to take the guided tour of the home where she was born. The house has had many transformations over the years as the great tour guide will tell you. This is a must if you are in Wytheville.

Its a small museum with lots of memorabilia! I did not realize President Wilson's wife was born and raised in Wytheville! A movie runs with a few rows of seats, and you can stroll and look at pictures and artifacts. Allow an hour if you watch the movie

    • Interesting artifacts

We stopped in Wythville to see the giant pencil but stayed for the hotdogs and the Edith Bolling Wilson museum. Our three daughters really enjoyed the video about her life. The artifacts are wonderful and the curator is very knowlegeable. A must see the next time you are heading by on I-81.

My husband and I stopped in to learn a little about the name associated with the hotel that we were staying in across the street. Nice video and knowledgeable staff. While there is still work to be done still Stop by and learn about one of our countrys First Ladies

    • Important part of women's history!

For those interested in US history, and especially seminal women in 20th century, this is a must do! Edith Bolling Wilson's birthplace and museum was staffed by an engaging and informative volunteer Carolyn who brought Edith to life. The downstairs is a Museum with artifacts and a movie. By paying a nominal fee of $5, you get the tour of the upstairs where the Bolling Family lived and Edith was actually born. As First Lady, Edith Wilson was the first Honorary Head of the Girl Scouts. As a former Girl Scout myself, I found this fascinating and encourage all Girl Scouts, past and present, to make a trip here.
