    • Shake my head, September 6 and 7th

Booked based on 4 and half star rating. All downhill after check inn. Walked In to a smoke free room that smelled like a ashtray. Came and sprayed was told give it a hour. Seemed to get better but never went away. Tried to put some medicine in fridge that wasn't working after some one looked at it said it will work give it a hour or so..After coming back from dinner..Still not working but the did replace it, that's why they get the one rating, but wait there's more was woken up at 11:07pm to pipe's in my sink gurgling super loud. Call 2nd shift manager she informed me that is normal when alot of people are taking a shower( which is bull---- ) and it will stop when their done. And there is nothing she can do. But she also said that the fridge that wasn't working in my room is now working even after her staff checked it out in my room ( 327 by the way). Like I was the bad person. At check in she should of told me it's a smoking room, and we will get you a fridge by 8, and the pipes in your sink make crazy noise when other people in the building shower. All this for 381.66 would you like it...She also told me that she would be ok with it ,if she was me. Yeah I bet she would.. the pipes did stop about 12:30am only to start again at 5:45 am Terrible experience, Terrible night management..

    • I slept in our car

The people at the check in counter were lovely. We checked in quite late. Went straight out for tea. When we did get back the room smelled horrible. It had a chemical smell in it like acetone. It gave me a terrible headache and add to it the ac when it just about got to temp it would shake and rattle and make a god awful noise for about 30 seconds then stop. Then would start again in about 10 mins and did this all night.... well until 2am when I just had enough and went and slept in my car. Literally. And not a big car My husband and son slept but they can sleep thru a hurricane. Also they have cushions for pillows. Weird! They were half pillows?? It was the biggest waste of $250 I have ever spent. When I told the check out staff they just said oh sorry. Should have been oh let me refund your money

    • Very Clean & Accommodating

      Reviewed 04 September 2019

This location for Best Western is one of the best we have stayed in. Their handicap rooms are made in a way that still feels comfortable. They do have an elevator and it seems all rooms have a balcony with chairs and a table. Beds are very clean and comfortable. The pillows are a little odd so if you are driving bring your own. Would stay again if in this touristy area. Close to the Smokies and restaurants. They have nice pools for family and children. Hot breakfast is supplied in a nice sit sown environment.

    • Absolutely not a problem!

Arrived later in the evening than I expected, but this was handled by the front desk clerk with no problem. The room was good, clean and appointed well. Bed and A/C comfy. Pool was great, used it all 3 days. Needed to stay an extra night, which was accommodated with no fuss, and didn't have to change rooms! Breakfast area was comfortable with a good selection. Price was reasonable for the season. Would highly recommend, and will look to stay here again on next visit.

    • Had a wonderful Labor Day weekend stay

      Reviewed 03 September 2019

Hubby and I decided to enjoy the Labor Day weekend in the Smoky Mountains this Labor Day weekend. We were very pleased by the lobby. It was spacious and clean and the front desk people were very friendly and helpful. Check in was smooth. We reserved a room with one king size bed. We were on the second floor in room 2 226. Our room was very clean and spacious. I have no complaints about this room except for I wish there would have been a hand towel rack over the sink. That's not really a complaint just something I would have preferred. Great water pressure in the shower. Everything worked properly and looked new and recently renovated. We never personally interacted with any of the housekeeping staff but they did a wonderful job at keeping our room tidy and clean. The continental breakfast was great. Every morning there was an abundance of eggs, sausage, biscuits, gravy, pastries, Cold Cereal, grits, oatmeal, yogurt, orange juice, milk and plenty of coffee. Breakfast was served from 9 a.m. to 10:30 am. Very helpful in saving us money. The first morning we went down for breakfast, someone from the Hatfield & McCoy Dinner Theater came into the breakfast area to pester people about tickets to their show. We didn't like that and my husband voiced his thoughts on it at the front desk. We never saw them any of the other days we were there. I really have no complaints about this hotel. They have 3 pools here. We only got to swim one day and we swam in the pool facing the street. That pool is open until midnight. The indoor pool which we didn't get to swim in but we checked it out, looked very nice. We will definitely stay here again next time we visit the Smoky Mountains!
