Came down from Port St Lucie to Eacape the hurricane and we lucked out with finding this place ! We brought our dog and this is the BEST pet friendly motel we have ever been to! Great newly renovated beautiful and extremely clean room! Accommodations were amazing. Beautiful beach and pool, fitness center and great onsite restaurants (with discount ).Maki Sushi Thai restaurant was the best !!! Big screen tv was a plus and comfortable beds and pillows! People at the place and staying there are very friendly!!! Highly recommend and so glad we found our place to stay in the future when we come to the Florida keys! This place rocks! New owners have done an amazing job ! Thank you for such a wonderful experience with a great staff!

    • Check out the renovations

We had stayed here a couple times a few years ago - and had moved on because it was run down. When we got an email to past customers about new ownership and renovated rooms, so we checked it out. The rooms are very nice and the hotel service from Darlene at reception, maintenance and General Manager Jamie was friendly and attentive. They were helpful with sightseeing and restaurant suggestions. We stayed Sunday through Wednesday and the property was quiet and relaxing. The kayaks and paddleboards and yard games are a nice addition. We're looking forward to the landscaping update that in progress. It's a gem of a place.

    • Great hotel but watch for extra charges !

We stayed at the Bayside two years ago and it was ok for our needs so we decided to stay again on our way to Miami. The refurbishment is excellent and whilst the hotel still looks very shabby from the outside, the rooms are lovely. The free paddle boards and kayaks were an added bonus and we had a lovely paddle around the bay. Parking was fine. The advertised breakfast wasnt really a breakfast ....there was only coffee, microwave porridge and pastries in packets but there are places to go not far away. The WiFi isnt good if this is important to you. So far all sounds fine doesnt it?? Sadly there is a sting in the tail. When we arrived at the hotel we were told that even though we had paid in full in January a swipe of a card was needed as a hold deposit for lost keys. Our credit card was swiped and we were expecting this to log on out account as pending as had happened at all other hotels and then just disappear. No! The full amount was debited from our account the day after we left. I contacted the hotel straight away and asked when it would be refunded. No response. I have continued to attempt to speak with someone who can sort this but to no avail! I have used email, Facebook and the phone ... no joy, no reply and no refund Now back in the UK it is going to be harder to chase this up. As we returned both keys undamaged this is fraud! Its not a huge amount of money but if they take this extra from every customer that amounts to thousands....this isnt ok! The funny thing is the receptionist joked on check in about going shopping with our card ... now we are home we will be cancelling our cards to ensure no further charges. For this reason I would recommend this hotel is avoided! It is just hassle that no one needs.

Really pleased with this hotel. Set in a lovely location with its own pier which is ideal for sunbathing, fishing or swimming and for viewing the spectacular sunsets. Rooms are clean and spacious and equipped with fridge and coffee machine. A nice touch is also the buffet breakfasts of bagels, muffins, yoghurt, coffee and juice. Would recommend and would return.

    • Updated and Clean rooms

      Reviewed 15 August 2019

Room was updated and very clean, cute little hotel. We only went there to sleep as we were meeting friends at another place nearby. Staff was nice and helpful. It's a cute place to spend the weekend if you are in Key Largo and not as expensive as the bigger hotels. It has a very small pool and access to a little beach area and best of all is right next to Snooks. If you are looking for a hotel with amenities and a nice pool, this isn't it. However if you need a clean place to sleep while you explore the keys and do activities outside the hotel, this will work.
