      The hotel we booked through a tour operator and when googling and looking at reviews there seemed to a bit of a mixed bag with general and vague reviews. WHAT A HOTEL. The hotel its self is 3 star and cosily small. It is a bit off the beaten track (a few minute free shuttle bus from Rodney Bay mall/main area) but that is one of the beautys of the hotel. It was peaceful and relaxing with amenities not too far away. We had a upgraded room at the hotel and it was larger than we were expecting with a queen size bed! There is a safe deposit in the room (which is free to use) and free wifi. The cleanliness of the rooms are excellent and the cleaning staff were very nice and took note of our routines of leaving the room (we were early risers and would get back to the room just after lunch) and they would always have the room done for us for when we were back and do the rest of the floor later on. The pool is small but pleasant, however, if you wanted a bit more of a swim again you can hop in the free shuttle between the hotels (Bay Gardens Hotel, Inn, Marina Haven and Beach Resort) and go to the beach resort hotel. The beach there is incredibly beautiful and the beach resort has their own section (with the water park on it) and another perk of staying at Bay Gardens is you can use the sunbeds and parasols free of charge - you get beach towel tokens at the marina haven to use for free. The beach was very safe even with local vendors coming down frequently as the hotel has security staff on the beach. We worried sometimes going in the sea leaving our belonging but every time a vendor passed our bags the security guard would notice this and hover nearby to give us more relaxation on holiday. The food at the hotel is the best hotel food we have ever had. Usually when we have stayed at hotels previously the hotel food has been standard and basic - not here. There isn't a large variety of selection but it isn't necessarily needed. The breakfast is buffet style with some mornings them having a breakfast menu instead and this includes an array of pastries, fruit and hot food. My only issue with breakfast would be that the peak times there is a wait for replacement for the hot food which resulted in us not having much breakfast on a few occasions but the food was lovely. Lunch actually has the most choices available of the 3 meals of the day and if required can be phoned down and collected to taken up to your room - helpful when you have a migraine! The dinner menu was also lovely and contained more seafood then the breakfast and lunch menu. We never had any issues with the food here everything was fresh cooked and delicious - we had ate out at the beach resort for lunch a couple of times and this was substandard to the marina haven food. The restaurant is not a big restaurant however for us eating there every night it felt nice and homely with us having a good rapport with the staff here, We were all inclusive here for 14 days and after the first week mentioned in passing to one of the waitresses that we were looking to try more of the local cuisine and if she could recommend a restaurant near by for us to go. She disappeared for a moment and came back to say that the chef would happily do us some local dishes on the nights she was in. This was incredibly kind and amazing of the staff to go above and beyond to do this for us. This happened over a few nights and the chef would even come out and have a chat to us about the food - another nice touch! Saving the best till last, the best part of this hotel which makes it exceed its 3 star reputation... the staff. The staff are what makes this hotel. The majority of staff are incredible and cannot do enough for you. No issue or favour is too much for them and with us being all inclusive kept giving us an abundance of drinks to make sure we were hydrated for our day trips out! There are specific staff we would like to mention and thank. The receptionist Knishnal who had many of times called us shuttles or checked on our trips whenever they were late and always greeted us with a friendly face from our first to last day. Nothing was a bother for her and she definitely had one of the best attitudes to her work that we have ever had. The security staff (Mr Charles, Maverick and Denver) who did an excellent job of maintaining the safety of the hotel whilst being bell hops and assisting with the shuttles when needed. Micha the IT manager who always came over to see us whenever she was at the hotel to check we were having an enjoyable stay. Didier the shuttle driver who greeted us everyday as his friend and even when we had to nip to the walk in GP with sunburn drove us on our own on the shuttle to the door and showed us where to go when we arrived as well as offering to collect us after and every time we saw him since would ask how the sunburn was. The catering staff The chef Kirshima who kindly prepared the local dishes for us - and they were delicious! The waitresses Cleta, Candi and Nildra who every day greeted us warmly and with a smile where nothing was too much trouble! When I even asked for a specific dessert for tea that night they got it in for us especially! Knishnal, Cleta, Candi and Nildra definitely were part of the reason we had such an amazing holiday. Everyday we would come down and have a laugh and a joke with them and their positivity was infectious - what you need in the hospitality industry. And finally, the manager, Ms Aaron. An amazing manager who yet treated you like a friend and again nothing was too much trouble. She works incredibly hard and is always present at the hotel which results in staff being extremely dedicated. She makes time to check if everything is ok on a near daily basis and listens to every comment and does not rush you off. We had one or two issues regarding security off the hotel site when on holiday and even after she had finished work for the night she came to the hotel to see us to talk everything through. She even contacted the security at all the bay gardens other sites to inform them and to make other visitors safe. We had an issue with a specific staff member whilst we stayed and when we mentioned it to Ms Aaron she said she would deal with the issue immediately. An incredible place which was made so much better by the staff - we miss staying there already!

      The front desk staff on Friday 2nd August were very welcoming and courteous ,these two ladies need to be recognized for their great service. We appreciated the fact that they did everything possible to ensure the guests were comfortable. Our only issue were the shuttle driver from Friday and Saturday night he needs to be retrained in hospitality. Overall we had a great experience.

      I dont no where to start with this one. This hotel was beyond a 3 star hotel the feel when you walk in makes it seem like a 5 star resort I have been to many larger hotels and resorts in the past but this one by far takes the cake. Upon arrival my fiance and I hurriedly went to the front desk as we were already late for checkin about an hour, the security officer was nice and pleasant however a suggestion would be that there is bell men to help with gest luggage as the security was both a bell man and security, front desk agent on arrival was top notch she made she all our demands were met I give her 10/10 room was clean and tidy, restaurant was small but what ever the only time its packed is during breakfast there is no bartender but again it doesn't matter because the waitresses make the best drinks I give drink and quality of food 10/10 only disappointment is that there wasn't any vodka on property but no worries the it manager got it covered she made sure we got our drinks so no complains, we enjoyed this small hotel so much that we wished we had stayed for at list a week as we only had one day cant wait to go back!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

      NEVER DISAPOINTS!Traveling alone with a toddler can be a struggle but the friendly staff at this hotel made me forget that feeling. Knishnal your services towards your guest is amazing,you've made st. Lucia feel like home I love how you and the other front desk staff keep reassuring that everyone (my young son and I) was okay. Anytime you have a question ask I believe they have 90% of the answers Thanks Again Bay Gardens Marina Haven we'll see you guys next year. Thanks Auntie Nal (what my son now calls Knishnal)

      The front desk staff was super they made us feel like family. I will never forget Knishnal and Micha. We can't wait to return next year with more if the family. All of the property was sooo well kept, beautiful just beautiful.
