This place says everything for itself when you get there. Clean and tidy. Nice staff. Some seating outside if you're lucky. Excellent food, fantastic cocktails I would definitely recommend.

Hen do afternoon tea

12 of us had afternoon tea here for a hen do. The table was laid lovely up stairs in a quiet area. The waiter was very attentive and helpful. Food was lovely. Asked if we could take the left over cakes with us and they were boxed very nicely and we took them to some homeless. Very nice visit and excellent service

We booked for my father in law's 90th Birthday. The staff were fantastic and attentive but not pushy, and the food and drinks were absolutely sublime

Delicious afternoon tea

I took my parents for afternoon tea at Browns on the 17th for a celebration. We got welcomed by a fantastic smiling host named Anna, who took us to our table in a timely and professional manner. Our waitress Asia was very quick to offer some water for the table which was much appreciated as it was a warm day. She advised us on the menu and was very patient with the family as their English isn't great. She took our order promptly and was really polite. The food and drinks arrived quite fast and was beautifully presented! We had the basic option of afternoon tea with delicious cakes and sandwiches. It was a nice array of flavours and colours and everyone was impressed by the quality. When we asked the bill, the waitress brought it over and took our payment efficiently and in good times. The building was beautiful and there was a really nibve atmosphere. We left very satisfied and full! The team was really nice from start to finish. We'll recommend it to friends!

Good enough but expensive

Maybe because its in a prime tourist spot in a tourist city, and in the affluent south regather than the more value conscious north, but whilst I enjoyed the whole food and drink experience and the service was friendly, if a bit slow, our food was overpriced. Small portion of salad for starter for 7 and a laughably small and dried out fish and chips and mushy pease for the main course. We were brought the wrong drinks with our order, but no complaints about that particularly, these things happen and were put right. Also given the bill before we asked for it, being encouraged to leave, which is understandable but a bit naff
