    • Where was the manager???

      Reviewed 30 August 2019

We made a reservation to stay one night at this hotel. We arrived to check in around 7:30 PM after traveling all day. The Internet was down and they could not check us in. After waiting about a half an hour we left and went and ate supper to give them some time to work on the problem. It was about 9:15 when we got back to the hotel And still no Internet. But more importantly, no manager or assistant manager there to assist the desk clerk with this problem. The young girl was trying to check people in, answer phones and put out too many fires for her paygrade! If youre going to be a boss you cant call in all the answers. The final straw was when we went to finally get checked into our room and the air conditioner was broken. And was told a maintenance man could come work on it. By this time we were done. We went down the street and found a different hotel that Internet was also down but handled it in a much more professional manner. And we finally got to go to bed!

    • Pet Freindly Hotel

      Reviewed 22 August 2019

This was supposed to be a 'Pet Friendly' Hotel. We chose this Hotel because we had to bring our small dog with us since we had a wedding in McCook to go to. During the reception I received 2 calls from the Hotel advising me that the guest were complaining about my dog was barking. That night was very stormy and my dog doesn't do well with thunderstorms. I told the front desk that I would take care of the problem but I wasn't able to leave immediately so I guess the barking continued since the Hotel kept calling me. I wanted to ask why guests were complaining if the Hotel allows for dogs to stay...dogs bark. Needless to say, we packed up our things and drove back to Omaha at 10pm for the 4 hour drive. Paid for the room I never even used. Next time I book a 'pet Friendly' Hotel I'm going to check to see if they have a barking policy.

    • Could have been a good stay

      Reviewed 27 July 2019

We stayed here twice during our trip. We stayed Saturday night and left our truck and trailer, leaving on the motorcycle. They were great about allowing us to leave the truck in their parking area behind the motel. We had a good night and enjoyed breakfast. The staff was friendly and helpful. We returned a week later and was told the ground floor double queen room we reserved over a week earlier was not available because they had overbooked. They could put us on the 2nd floor in a king room but at a higher rate. After a call to a supervisor, we finally settled on a 2nd floor king suite at only $6 more. Once we managed to get our stuff upstairs, the room was fine until about 10:00 when the tailgate party started in the parking lot directly under our window. A small group of people were drunk and loud. At 11:00, we called the front desk to complain about the noise and the people urinating in the parking lot. The staff said they had seen that on the cameras but didn't know what to do about it. We complained again at 11:30 since they were getting louder, no results. At midnight, we finally called the police station asking them to drive through and it was quiet by 12:30. We had a long drive the next day and could have used a couple more hours sleep. We were grateful for the parking space for the week, since the hotel down the road wanted to charge us $150 to park, and the 1st night was good, but the 2nd night was a complete disaster.I'm not sure we would chance it again.

    • A very dark hotel

      Reviewed 13 September 2018

As far as we could tell the Hotel is now part of Quality Inn & Suites business. The hotel inside is very dark - walls, carpets etc. Having said that it was spotlessly clean. The staff were very friendly and knowledgeable. Breakfast was the usual motel breakfast but all very nice. Walmart is not too far away for shopping. There was no cable or satellite TV!

    • OUT OF SOAP??? how did this happen??? 85 dollars a night, and cant give us a bar of soap

      Reviewed 04 June 2018

OK, I am not making this up, made a reservation several days in advance, have stayed here several times in the past, no problems, A bar of soap I feel is a necessity when renting a motel room, kind of like toilet paper, or maybe a couple towels, and at least one light bulb that works, Yes after paying the 85 dollars on my credit card, the office desk informed me, we have no bar soap in your room, my response was, I could go buy you some down the road, would have probably cost me maybe 20 bucks to supply the whole hotel, she informed me, that she could give me a couple bottles of shampoo to wash our hands with, so OK, then up in the room, we find 2 bottles of conditioner, and one bottle of hand lotion, so it appears now they are running out of shampoo, because they have no bar soap, next they will be having to hand out conditioner to wash your hands in the room, then when they run out of that, guess they will have to just use hand lotion, The plus side of our stay, we didnt run out of toilet paper, and they gave us clean towels, Really what the tarnation is going on in this place, The breakfast was great, 2 types of omlets cheese and no cheese, I would recommend buying some hand soap, in bars for the room, and just delete the cheeze omlets, probably cost wise it would even out, Will probably stay here again, Im sure this is just a screw up, probably not the desk clerks fault, but is the managers or owners, really you can buy some bar soap down at the dollars store for 50 cents a bar, Lord,
