    • Would not agree to refund after mistake in booking

I was very disappointed with the customer service that I received at this hotel. I made a mistake of booking this hotel for the incorrect weekend and upon trying to check-in realized the mistake. They were full for the night and were unable to accommodate although they confirmed that my booking would be cancelled although would not agree to grant me a refund. I just couldn't understand why, I cancelled which meant they could book the room for someone else which they most certainly did although I was told that I made the mistake and there was nothing they could do. Seems like this is a standard policy to try and take advantage of someone who made an honest mistake. I'll be sure to not cancel the next time and not allow them the opportunity to double book a room. Was really upset with this experience and would definently never attempt to book here again. Under no circumstance.

Room with two queen beds, a door to a shared balcony, small table and chairs, fridge, coffee & tea, bathroom with sink toilet and bath, shower over, also a second sink in the room outside the bathroom. The lobby, stairs and halls were hot as well as the room, however there was a large fan in the room which, made the night more bearable. Breakfast was in the basement dining room consisting of bread, ham, cheese, eggs and breakfast burritos. There is a large staircase to the lobby as well as narrow staircases to the accommodation floors. There is a jacuzzi, our room was non smoking and we only had breakfast in the hotel.

Got here 30 min before check in and the room was ready. Luckily we were on the first floor so not as many stairs to carry luggage as there is no lift. Room was large with a king bed and table, small fridge TV. Older decor, stained carpets etc...Shower great, bed comfortable. Friendly man at check in who had some good tips where to swim ( Lake June). Happy hour 5-7.30 and friendly talkative guy at the bar. Got the free shuttle to town where there was a free concert. Shuttle stop is just down the road at the next hotel. Quiet area to stay especially during the night not much road noise. Breakfast had a few choices cereal, yogurt, toast, waffles, muffins, breakfast burritos, ham, cheese, boiled eggs, coffee and fruit juice. Late check out at 11am.

    • Easily fixable if they took the time and trouble

No elevator but not a biggie for someone who isnt a senior. Room was spacious, beds were comfortable. All but one staff member (a guy pissed off at the world) were courteous. Carpet is VERY dated and either needs upgrade or regular shampooing. Shower pressure was fine, but fluctuated hot/cold...one day no hot water at all in AM, but was fixed same day (not a big criticism with the problem itself, but obviously an updated temp regulator is needed). Room was cleaned well, but when you walk into your room and a quick-fix set of door blinds on a shared balcony is broken, making privacy a serious issue (besides the tackiness of it), a window that literally wouldnt shut and needed work, and other neglected things implied. The breakfast was ridiculously bad. This too could be fixed with a waffle iron or two, cutting out the giant bowl of hard boiled eggs, and expanding the cereal selection to more than two? Either that or just cut it completely. We did an about-face almost immediately when we saw how pitiful that was. Overall this hotel could be very nice with regular walk-throughs and a bit of money put back into it.

    • Mediocre scam

After an unpleasant check-in at the reception by an unfriendly lady, the room we got on the first floor was far from what was promised by the pictures or reviews. The room seemed to be stuck in the 80s, the smell reminded the one of a home for elderly people. No safe. Towels had disgusting brown stains and bad smell. Foreign hair in the bed. Every piece of furniture feels sticky. The restaurant was very far from what it pretends to be. You have to go downstairs into a dark, small, very noisy and cold cellar looking place. Slow service, couldnt even read the menu for lack of proper light. Ordered the salmon, it was over cooked and tasteless with over cooked rice and over cooked clam. The whole dish was floating in a thick layer of oil. The wine was bad, water tasted like chlorine, undrinkable. Breakfast was at the same place. Everything was processed industrial frozen junk, the toaster burned the bread half of the time. If you want some fresh goods you have a few apples only. I guess this place got its reputation from being close to the ski tracks but its a true waste of money and time outside of the ski season. I have seen much better highway side motels than this scam.
