We were driving to Chania from Heraklion and wanted to stop at an authentic olive farm and visit a small town along the way. This place is perfect!! Family run, Joanna, the owner is so hospitable!! She is warm, friendly and extremely knowledgeable. The tour is free, and we learned a lot. During hot summer months we dont want to spend hours touring anything so this was so perfect. The olive oil is splendid/Ive opened it since I came home and its dirt cheap!! I wish I had more room in my luggage to bring home the larger container!!! Thanks so much Joanna!!! Your Montreal friends

Many, many thanks for your time and the personal tour. The history of making Olive Oil and the development of the production were very fascinating for us. We're looking forward to tasting the products when we get back in Germany. Thanks a lot, Steffi and Marco from Hamburg (the Cruise Guys)

    • Short stop, nice gifts

It was free to be shown round and took about 10 minutes. There's space to park. Trying the olive oil was nice at the end. The opportunity to buy the olive oil products at the end was good as they would make nice gifts. I think a sign explaining where to wait for the tours and that it is quite a relaxed approach to timings would be a good addition. This is because when we arrived, we were unsure where to go and whether we'd have a long wait for a tour.

I expected more from the tour and the tasting. It was 10 min max togather and you could try only 1 olive oil. They also weren`t so exited about bringing the bread to taste the olive oil. But maybe that's what you get from free things but in comparison tour in Manousakis winery was also free but more interesting.

The lady giving the tour in English is american and very entertaining. She walks you through the history of olive oil extraction until the modern days and is extremely informative. The tour ends with tasting and you can buy some of the oil and oil products. We bought some and loved it with Feta. It is so flavorful.
