Staff need to learn how to smile and be polite to customers.Breakfast was between 8-10.30 so me and my family went down for 8oclock as we had a excursion still sitting waiting at 8.15 so I got up to ask if they were serving they just looked at me as if I was stupid. Not so helpful at the reception desk ask a few questions but they didnt seem to want to help

    • A few issues....

      Reviewed 18 August 2019

We have just come back from these apartments. Firstly the positives - pools are lovely with only lilos etc allowed in one pool. Apartments are lovely and equipped enough. Maids are good as expected. We had a room overlooking the pool away from cafe so no noise. Cafe was fairly priced mostly friendly staff and 3 shops next door to the apartments so easy to grab essentials even at 11pm when we arrived. And so the negatives mostly relating to the pool area. By the afternoon the floor around the pool is hot and very slippery so you definitely need flip flops etc. The lifeguard did seem to tell many people off for many things - whilst he is on duty. After 6pm the Spanish locals take over the pool and do exactly what they want - diving etc and we felt slightly intimated. The sun bed saga is another thing. From 7am people waiting for the sun beds to be unlocked at 9am and then a major scuffle with everyone grappling at sunbeds. Yes there are signs which state no reserving but people grab sunbeds at 9am and then go off after reserving theirs. The 2nd day we joined in at 9am but the holiday should be relaxing and so for the rest of the week we laid on the wet watered grass around the pool until some beds were free and this was usually by early afternoon. On our last day the lifeguard removed towels on beds that had been reserved at 9am and not used and all hell broke loose between the guests - not an ideal holiday atmosphere! The hotel need to set rules and to when you can and Cant reserve sunbeds as it is a farce. This is the main thing that would put us off returning. Our apartment was also next to a private one which was being refurbished. We complained to the hotel about the noise of the building work and they did nothing so we had to involve Jet2holidays and made a complaint to be investigated in the uk. In our opinion the hotel should not put guests next to such rooms with the level of building work noise and dust! Think we were just unlucky and Jet2holidays were not to blame but the hotel was... The resort itself is lovely lots of restaurants and shops after a 10 minute walk and we went to the market got some bargains and visited Siam Waterpark in a cab for 8 euros each way. We also tried the sister hotel Tenerife Sur across the road but again hot slippy floor by the pool and it was so busy with no sunbeds - we stayed for 30 minutes after I spotted sick in the pool and alerted the life guard. By the time maintenance had arrived it had been washed away - yuk! Over all we had a good holiday but a few issues means we would not go back - if you are spending a lot of money in the school holidays for these holidays you want to have it hassle free!

    • Just what we expected

      Reviewed 15 August 2019

Visited late July u til 13th Aug. We enjoyed our stay. The rooms are spacious enough, with everything we expected (did miss the microwave!!) But we did need a fan and another mirror. To only have 1 in the bathroom I'd an issue with 2 teenagers!!! Had a room overlooking the 'noisy ' local bars. But we didn't mind, as midnight is music shut off time and that suited our holiday schedule. The sunbeds were fine for first few days, but then the fun and games began... so we gave up and used the grass each day. Location was fine. Lots of choices within a few minutes walk.

    • Dont do it to yourself

      Reviewed 12 August 2019

I have have already posted this review on the website itself but feel I need to share it as much as possible to try and save as many people as possible from this place! If you want shockingly poor food, no air con, beds made out of cardboard, no mirrors, want to pay to watch the TV, pay to use the WiFi that doesnt work and love getting up before sunrise to play sun bed wars in an unfair fight because there arent enough anyway, then pack your bags! This is the place to be!!!! There are some positives though...... they may not have air con but they do have very old ceiling fans which are just about hanging on by a thread, so if youre a thrill seeker and live life on the dangerous side then its right up your street. The sun beds that people wait hours for to get are so hard that you have to buy covers in the shop attached (quite clever really). Be sure to bring your war game as it is a proper survival of the fittest moment when the sun beds are unlocked from their chains! Its fight or flight for those bad boys! But word of warning, the signs that say do not reserve sun beds means NOTHING. Some people put down towels for the whole day not returning but dont try take any of the beds or the lifeguard will threaten to call the police. Most people took to laying on the grass which bizarrely is like laying on a giant sponge...... its like 1 sun bed to 3 people and 1 umbrella to every 10 people. Another positive, they do make your beds......but dont expect clean sheets. The shower is decent AND you get your own personal paddling pool on the bathroom floor when you get out! Winning! Another one for the thrill seekers - the bathroom is the only room with a mirror so if you want to risk being electrocuted in your personal floor paddling pool whilst drying your hair...... again this for you! There is a late check out service but you can only enquire about this on the day youre leaving and by then they have taken a booking for your room anyway. But its all good, you get to spend your day sitting on the sponge grass like a hobo until you leave for the airport. *** children warning alert*** DO NOT have fun in the pool. The lifeguard will repeatedly shout at you. Dont laugh, dont smile, dont talk and whatever you do....dont make eye contact! In fairness the staff (bar lifeguard) are lovely and so helpful. The place is clean and in a great location and the apartments are a really decent size. The potential of this place is massive so its a shame its just SO BAD! The 2 star rating goes to the staff (again not lifeguard), the size of the apartments and cleanliness of the place. Thats about it. Oh and the only toilet facilities are the toilets in your room. Have already booked again for next year! Cant wait!

    • Spacious apartment complex

      Reviewed 03 August 2019

We have been here before. The apartment themselves are very spacious and properly maintained, overall very good. As is the service. This time we also had breakfast: no buffet, just a menu to choose from. Food was OK, staff friendly. But sadly the neighbourhood has gone down. All restaurants now have very loud (live) "music" until late. So sleeping was not easy. A real shame as the complex itself is still nice as ever.
