Beautiful hotel. Quite and peaceful. Theres a lot of sitting areas at the hotel where you can relax. Service was fast, staff was friendly. Room was big, so does the bathroom. It has a bathtub in the bathroom. Bed was average and the pillows were thin, not comfortable to sleep on. Dinner was buffet with a good spread. There were many choices of food. Theres no safe box in the room.

Nice hotel, but, nothing around, no shops, nothing, 5klm to town and not safe to walk. 10 taxi to town. So if you're on a bus tour, don't expect to do a tour of Kalambaca or to get anything you need.

If you arrive in the evening before sunset after a day travelling, you catch a glimpse of the Meteora that you are likely off to explore the following morning. Youll also be impressed by the formidable lobby and calming ambience that this hotel and its grounds have to offer. Even the din from the multitude of travel beaten tourist buses that empty their contents at the door does little to disrupt the agenda of recuperating between legs of your journey. A 25 meter pool to stretch out by, and capacious bedrooms, conjure up feelings of satisfaction and plenty. Different sentiments arise with the buffet food on offer where the onus is definitely on quantity rather than quality. However, our laziness in having three meals at the hotel was at least rewarded by a delectable club sandwich at the pool. Expect a slow pace with the hotel seemingly under staffed at busy times. Ask for a room with a garden view.

The Hotel Amali in Kalambaka resembled the one we stayed in the night before in Delphi but had its own features to differentiate it. The swimming pool was bigger and we took full advantage of the still acceptable water temperatures to get in a good swim. Good view of gardens and surrounding areas from our ground floor room which had a patio. Room itself had comfortable beds, good lighting controls, and plenty of space for our things in the bathroom. Shower with hand wand worked well. We ate dinner and breakfast buffets there and the food was uniformly good. Though close to a local highway, it was surprisingly quiet.

We were almost dragged into this place to eat by a very insistent lady who steps out in front of the car. The food was at best average and the people were not overly friendly!! All in all give this place a miss
