You could easily sleep a large family in the room we had. The view was amazing and it was the perfect place to stay for the night so we could see Meteora in the morning. Id absolutely stay here again.

    • Didn't get the room we booked, so fewer clean clothes for us...

I booked the meteora view family apartment directly with the hotel 3 months in advance of our stay. When I checked in, we were given the other family apartment. The family that got "my" room arrived after we did and left before we did. I peaked at the reservation book and saw that they booked through booking.com. Perhaps they were given the better room because rankings on booking drive more sales? Really regretted that decision. I specifically selected the room I booked for the balcony and what appeared to be an in-room washer. I don't know if there really was a washer in there. The hotel folks did do a load of laundry for me, but I didn't wash as many things as i wanted and as I would've had I been doing it myself. Very disappointing and consider it was a bait and switch. The bathroom of the room we did get was very nice, but I wanted the larger apartment with the washer and balcony and I booked the room enough in advance that the hotel owner should have honored my booking. I assume booking.com gets you better service here - so use that if you plan to stay.

Very nice hotel in a quiet area of Kalambaka but just a short walk to the center of town. We had a family room, which easily accommodated four of us, and a single room for another family member. The owner was a great source of information to help with planning our tours of the monasteries. The trailhead to hike to the Holy Trinity Monastery is right by the hotel. The staff took care of my laundry, for a small fee, and that was a huge bonus! Would definitely stay here again!

This place was just perfect for our family of 4. The suite had more than enough room for all of us to be comfortable. Enough sleeping spots for even more than 4 in our suite. Kitchen was spotless and very nicely stocked. The bathroom was so clean and large. Bath tub too. Amazing views! Patio so large and lovely to enjoy. Really nice breakfast selection. The owner was so kind (but sometimes hard to track down). There was a hiking trail head just minutes walk from the accommodations. Also just a short walk to the center of town and all the activity. Even a little restaurant a stones throw away. Oh, and a park for kids to enjoy right there too. Lovely place.

This hotel is a little hard to find, but an amazing place in an amazing location and more than worth the effort. Our room was recently remodeled and we could not have been more happy with our accommodations. We spent two weeks in Greece and unfortunately only budgeted one night here, but the bed was the most comfortable of any of our other stops and the room had the best shower we took in Greece. Our room was impeccably clean and I've never had better or more interesting views from any other hotel or inn that I've ever stayed in. The breakfast was in the European fashion, but the selections were plentiful and the food locally sourced and much better than what you would get at a large hotel. In short the breakfast was wonderful. As others have said there is substantial work being done to upgrade the whole property, but we did not find the work to be a problem and I would like to return when it is finished because it will be a wonderland. If I ever return to Kalampaka I would not consider staying anyplace else!
